Now, before you go any further you need to know I’m simply here to show you the pros and cons of Plexus Worldwide and give you my personal opinion about its business opportunity. What you decide to do after reading my review is up to you.

So, What Is Plexus Worldwide?

Plexus Worldwide, which is typically just called Plexus. Is a MLM (muliti-level marketing) company that was started back in 2006 by Tarl Robinson and Alfred Pettersen. The company is headquartered in Scottsdale, Arizona.

They sell weight management, nutritional, skincare and personal care products. In 2017 they had revenue of $562 million. And during the fiscal first quarter of 2019 they reported revenue of $766 million. And with 700,000 ambassadors and growing there is no doubt this company is going to continue growing.

Ok, now that you now a little more about Plexus. Let’s take a quick look at their product line before we get into the “making money” part of Plexus.

The Products

Weight Management

• Plexus Slim – this is their most popular product weight loss product. It’s a powdered weight loss supplement that you mix with water and drink.
• Plexus Slim Hunger Control – helps you feel full longer.
• Plexus MetaBurn – helps boost metabolism.
• Plexus Lean – this is a whey meal replacement that comes in chocolate and vanilla flavors. They are also available in vegan and vegetarian formulas. With the Vegetarian one also available in mocha flavor.
• Plexus Balance – this is designed to provide glycemic support and carb control.
• Plexus Block – this is designed to block the absorption of sugars and carbohydrates.
• Plexus Accelerator+ – designed to help jump start your metabolic rate.

Nutrition

• Plexus Active – provides long-lasting energy without jitters.
• Plexus XFactor Plus – this is their multivitamin.
• Plexus XFactor Kids – this is a multivitamin and probiotic, all in one chewable tablet.
• Plexus VitalBiome – designed to help improve your health and your mood.
• Plexus ProBio 5 – formulated to promote optimal gut health.
• Plexus Bio Cleanse – natural cleansing process for your digestion.
• Plexus MegaX – this is a broad spectrum plant-based Omega-3 fatty acid.
• Plexus Nerve – designed for occasional nerve discomfort.
• Plexus Ease – designed to help with occasional discomforts of an active lifestyle.
• Plexus Edge – gives you healthy, sustained energy and increased mental focus.
• Plexus XFactor – this is their multivitamin and antioxidant supplement.

• Joyōme Intensive Overnight Repair – helps makes the skin feel firmer and smoother. 30 day supply and 60 day supply.

Personal Care

• Plexus Ease Cream – provides fast soothing comfort.
• Plexus Body Cream – works to protect and purify the skin.
• Plexus Breast Chek Kit – designed for women to easily perform monthly self-examinations.

Now when it comes to their products they are not regulated by the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) so they do not have to prove they are safe or effective.

Another thing I want to mention is that there are no clinical, scientific, or official studies done on Plexus Slim. However, its four main active ingredients have been studied separately.

And because they have combined all four of these ingredients they say their product provides significant effects for weight loss.

Now there was an internal study but the study was never published. To me that’s a red flag because if this product is supposed to help you in weight loss.

I would think you if you could back things up with scientific evidence that it does what they claim it does. You would.

I’m just being devil’s advocate here. You have to weigh the pros and cons of everything before you make any type of decision regarding this business opportunity.

Because the type of products that you’re going to be marketing is going to determine the success or failure of your business.

Are Plexus Products Worth The Price?

Now Plexus has a wide range of products but their corner stone product is Plexus Slim. This is the product that helps with weight loss. Now when you get right down to it, like all of these types of product, they are just an appetite suppression product.

And like many of these appetite suppression products they contain similar ingredients that help suppress your appetite. So, let’s do a little comparison.

Plexus slim costs $89.95 and has 30 servings. And they suggest you take this 1 to 2 times per day. So, let’s go with 2 servings per day. People want to lose weight as fast as possible so 2 servings per day is not out of the question for most.

So at 2 servings per day, a monthly supply of Plexus Slim is going to cost you $179.80 per month.

Now if you go to Amazon you can find all kinds of appetite suppression products with similar ingredients as Plexus Slim all claiming the same results of helping you lose weight.

So, I went to Amazon and I found a product called IdealBoost. It costs $39.99 – actually is was on sale for $37.57 but let’s go with the regular price. It has the same number of servings, which is 30.

But at $40 it’s half as much as Plexus and if you did 2 servings per day, your total monthly cost is now only $79.90.

That’s a big difference.

Now here’s the issue I see. This is going to raise a big challenge when it comes to selling Plexus because it’s very clear there are similar products that offer the same results for a lot cheaper.

So, if people can find products that do the same thing that Plexus Slim claims it can do, but pay less. I just see a lot of people that would prefer to spend less money for the same results.

Again, more things to consider when deciding if this business opportunity is for you.

How Do You Make Money With Plexus Worldwide?

Ok, now to the making money part. When you join Plexus, you’re known as an Ambassador, that’s what Plexus calls an independent distributor of their products.

And like every other MLM companies’ compensation plan I’ve reviewed they are confusing and complicated. And Plexus is no different.

So, I’m just going to give you a quick overview of their compensation plan. If you have time and feel like getting dizzy reading this compensation plan here’s a link to it.

With Plexus you have 2 ways of making money.

Retail

You can simply retail the products. Now every product has PV (Personal Volume) attached to it. This PV number is directly tied to your commissions that you can earn.

You need to earn a minimum level of PV before you can earn commissions. And you will not start earning any commissions until your PV is 100 or more.

When it comes to the percentage you can earn through retail it is as follows:

• 100 to 499.99 15% (on remaining PV after the first 100 PV)
• 500 and up 25% (on remaining PV after the first 100 PV)

You can also earn Retail Rewards Override Commissions. As a pay level 1 ambassador. You will receive an 5% override commission when an ambassador you have personally sponsored has of over 100 PV in any given month.

You can also earn commissions from Preferred Customers. And this is called the Preferred Customer Bonus. Each product has its own PC Bonus amount. However, to earn this bonus your preferred customers must be on a recurring monthly subscription order.

Recruiting

The other way of making money through their compensation plan is by recruiting people into the business and climbing the ranks within Plexus.

There are 10 ranks within Plexus each with its own requirements and qualifications that must be met in order to earn the commissions and bonuses at each level. I’m not going to get into each qualification for each level.

Again, if you want to dive into the compensation plan. And I recommend you do because this is what you’re going to have to do in order to make money. So, you best understand how the game is played.

Here’s the levels within Plexus:

1. Ambassador
2. Senior Ambassador
3. Silver Ambassador
4. Gold Ambassador
5. Senior Gold Ambassador
6. Ruby Ambassador
7. Senior Ruby Ambassador
8. Emerald Ambassador
9. Sapphire Ambassador
10. Diamond Ambassador

Now If you fail to qualify, bonuses and commissions will not be paid out to you. Commissions will compress to qualified ambassadors in your upline.

Can You Make Money With Plexus?

With any MLM there is the opportunity to make money. It comes down to your dedication at building your business while at the same time trying to meet the qualifications and requirements to climb the ranks within Plexus.

Sounds easy enough right?

Well, the opportunity may be there but from their own documentation is shows that on average all of their Ambassadors earn $310.48 for the year of 2018.

$310.48 for a year’s work! That’s a whopping $25.87 per month. And this does not include expenses incurred by ambassadors. So, chances are these ambassadors lost money.

Sorry, that’s not what I call a golden opportunity to make a full time living.

What Training And Tools Can You Expect?

Now I would imagine you’re going to get some guidance and training from the person the enrolled you into Plexus. Unfortunately, that’s not always the case.

So, Plexus does have what are called Motivation Mondays. And these are live training and webinar calls to help inspire you and give you guidance on what you can be doing to build your business.

What’s The Price?

To join Plexus, it’s going to cost you $39.95. This also includes your own replicated website and maintenance for that site for a year. This is an annual fee.

Once you join there are welcome packs you can buy. Which range between $99 and $199. Now you don’t have to buy a welcome pack. But if you don’t it’s going to be pretty hard to promote and product you don’t have to share.

What I Like About Plexus Worldwide

#1) Preferred Customer

People can become a preferred customer and enjoy the discounts that come with that. And at the same time you have the opportunity to earn commissions from all your preferred customers purchases.

#2) 60 Day Refund

If you or a customer is not satisfied with a product purchased. You can return the product for a full refund within 60 days from the date of the purchase.

#3) Evergreen Market

The weight loss market is HUGE and it’s not going away anytime soon (or ever). And when I say huge, I’m talking $72 Billion dollars in the US alone for 2019. And because of this size of market, being in the weight loss niche can be a profitable one.

What I Didn’t Like About Plexus Worldwide

#1) Low Success Rate

The statistics when it comes to MLM is very, very low. In fact, 99% of the people that get into any MLM business will lose money.

Even Plexus is telling you you’re chances of making real money is low. Remember the income disclosure statement?

On average all of their ambassadors made $310.48 for the year of 2018. A blistering $25.87 per month. Not what I call life changing money.

#2) You Don’t Control Your Business

As with all MLM businesses you have zero control and ownership of your business. If the FTC shuts the company down, you’re out of a business. And don’t think that can’t happen, MLM’s get shut down all the time.

If they change their product pricing. Now you have to try and sell more absurdly overpriced products. If they change the qualifications of their compensation plan and make things even more difficult to earn money.

There’s nothing you can do about. If you want to make money you have to play by their rules.

You don’t even own the website that you’re doing business through. That’s a Plexus asset, not yours.

Sure, you’re an independent distributor giving you the illusion this is your business – but it’s not.

I don’t care how you decide what type of business model you want to use to make money online. You absolutely have to be in 100% control and ownership of that business.

And with any MLM business have ZERO ownership and control over your business. And that’s a position you don’t want to be in.

#3) Overpriced Products

This is typical with many MLM companies their products compared to similar products found in the open market are way overpriced. Case in point, Plexus Slim cost twice as much as comparable products that claim the same results.

So, this is going to make it a lot harder to sell their products when people can easily find comparable products for a lot less.

#4) Recruiting

As with all MLM companies the path to having the opportunity to make more money is by building your business. And this is done through recruiting people into your downline.

This business model is a recipe for failure. The income numbers don’t lie either. Ask anybody if the thought of having to constantly recruit (sell) people every day to build a business sounds like something they want to do? The answer is typically no.

Then ask them if they like being sold to? The answer is typically no. Now honestly ask yourself those same questions. Do you want to constantly be selling and trying to recruit people to build your business every single day? I bet the answer is no.

And if you answered no, then this and any other MLM business is not for you. But that’s not a bad thing. Keep reading and I’ll show you a great alternative for making money from home.

#5) Product Misrepresentation

The company as well as many ambassadors have misrepresented the products. In fact Truth In Advertising has cataloged over 100 instances where distributors have claimed that Plexus products can treat, cure, prevent, or reduce the risk of developing certain diseases and disorders.

That just shows how desperate some distributors are to sell things.

My Final Opinion Of Plexus Worldwide

So, from all this; is Plexus a scam? No, it’s not a scam. You do have the chance of making money. However, the odds of that happening are slim to none.

Starting your own business is a great thing to do and I highly recommend you do it. But you want to start with a great business model not one that is a horribly flawed and broken business model like MLM is.

So no, Plexus is not a business opportunity I would recommend you getting involved with.
