Is New U Life A Scam? Or Golden Opportunity?

I think it’s pretty safe to say if you’re here you’ve been introduced to New U Life and their business opportunity. And naturally before jumping in you’re doing the right thing and learning more about them. So, together we’ll take a look at them and get answers to like – is New U Life a scam?

Is this really the best homebased business opportunity for you? We’ll also dig into the products and most importantly their compensation plan and see what you need to do to build a successful business with them.

So, let’s get to it.

New U Life The Company

New U Life is a direct selling (MLM) company that’s in the health and wellness market. It was founded in 2017 by Alexy Goldstein. With headquarters in Lehi, UT. With additional offices in California, Hong Kong, and Taiwan.

Alex is a Certified Homeopath and Certified Herbalist. His business career started when he was 18 years old when his parents decided to leave the family business to him which lead him to become a leading manufacturer of natural foods, vitamins, and performance supplements.

He later developed his now flagship SomaDerm Gel under the brand we know today as New U Life.

The Products

As stated on their website. All of their products are designed to support your whole bodies health. Now compared to other MLM’s in this market New U Life doesn’t have a big product line.

It’s starts with their flagship product SomaDerm Transdermal Gel. With a retail price of $169.99 USD.

And being a transdermal product. This means you simply apply it to your skin to be absorbed.

So, What Is SomaDerm Transdermal Gel?

So, as we get older our body does not produce as much HGH (Human Growth Hormone) and SomaDerm is supposed to help increase natural growth hormone. And they say that in independent, third-party trials SomaDerm increased natural growth hormone up to 800%.

To apply SomaDerm they recommend you do so to your underarms, forearms, wrists, and behind the knees. And the reason for this is these are areas where you skin in thin and will make sure it will be transported directly into your bloodstream.

They also recommend the following regiment when using SomaDerm:

2 full pumps both in the morning and evening for 5 days and then take 2 days off.

Now it should be noted when it comes to SomaDerm Transdermal Gel and all of the other products New U Life markets. NONE of them have been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration.

Which means New U Life does not have to prove that their products are safe or if they even work.

Now you may notice a NDC number associated with SomaDerm. Don’t mistake this number as an approval number. This number is a National Drug Code number.

New U Life has to provide the FDA with a current list of all drugs manufactured, prepared, propagated, compounded or processed for commercial distribution. It has absolutely nothing to do with any approval of their products.

There are no homeopathic products that are approved by the FDA

Deep Cleanse – this product is suitable for all skin types and is said to cleanse, freshen, and hydrate your skin. $69.99 USD.

Cleanse – clean dirt and makeup from your face leaving your skin fresh and clean. $54.99 USD.

Preserve Photosensitive – this product is designed to hydrate and protects your skin from harsh environmental stressors. $79.99 USD.

Preserve Photoreactive – Protects and maintains skin hydration. $79.99 USD.

Renew Photosensitive – helps reduce the appearance of fine lines, scars, and wrinkles. $79.99 USD.

Renew Photoreactive – helps reduces signs of skin irritation. $79.99 USD.

Eye Revive – fights puffiness and softens fine lines and wrinkles. $74.99 USD.

Rose & Cole Essentials KitR – this kit comes with: Cleanse, Preserve, Renew, and Eye Revive. $259.00 USD.

Rose & Cole 360 Kit – this kit comes with: Deep Cleanse, Cleanse, Preserve, Renew, and Deep Renew, and Eye Revive. $305.00 USD

Here’s What It’s Going To Cost You To Get Started

To get started you’re going to first need the ID of the sponsor that’s enrolling you. Once you have that then it’s just a matter of filling in all the required information and choosing your starter kit.

You have a lot of different starter kits to choose from, 16 in fact. Starting as low as $59.00 (but not really) to as high as $999.00.

So, let’s say you want to purchase one of the two $59.00 starter kits. You need to read the fine print on these.

As you can see you’ll pay $59.00 as a pre order right away. But when your kit gets shipped you’ll be charged the balance of $176.00 for this kit. For a total of $235.00.

The cheapest starter kit they have available at the time of this review that I found was $199.00. You’ll also be on the hook for an Annual Membership Fee of $59.00 USD.

And all kits come with a replicated website where you can send people to learn about New U Life products and where people can join you in this business.

Their Compensation Plan

You’re going to be making money through their compensation plan. This compensation plan is a Binary one. And as such you will have 2 legs to your business. A right Leg and a Left Leg.

And there are 5 ways of making money with this plan.

Now before we get into the 5 ways there are certain qualification you must meet in order to be eligible to earn any money.

Active – To stay as an “Active” distributor you must maintain at least 140 PV (personal volume) within a 5-week rolling period.

Qualified – This means you must maintain an active status and at least two active personally sponsored distributors, one on each leg.

Ok, here’s the 5 ways you can make money with this compensation plan.

1) Retail Commissions

This is pretty straight-forward. You’ll earn commissions based on customer orders. These commissions are paid out weekly.

2) Team Acquisition Bonus

Again, pretty straight-forward. When you enroll a new distributor you will be paid a TAB (Team Acquisition Bonus) based on the enrollment pack they buy. This bonus is paid weekly and you must be active in order to get this bonus.

3) Team Commissions

To qualify for team commissions, you must be a qualified and an active Promoter or Coordinator or a qualified Coach or higher with at least 280 PV. (personal volume)

These commission are paid in cycles. And the commission amount per cycle is based on the distributor’s qualified rank. And you can have up to a maximum of 334 cycles during a weekly commission period.

If you’re a Promoter or Coordinator a cycle is worth $40.00. And if you’re a Coach and above a cycle is worth $60.00. And to receive a commission cycle you need 400 GV (group volume) in your LVL (lesser volume leg) and 600 GV in your GVL. (greater volume leg)

This bonus is paid out weekly.

4) Coaching Bonus

Once you’re reach Coach or above you’re eligible for this bonus.

With this bonus you can earn on your entire personally sponsored legs on every new enrolled Associate. And it makes no difference whether they were sponsored by you or anybody else.

Like the other bonuses this is also paid out weekly.

5) Matching Bonus

Once you’re reached the rank of Coordinators and higher. You will earn a Matching Bonus.

This bonus is based on team commissions earned by people you’ve personally sponsored and the distributors in their personal sponsorship, up to 7 levels deep.

And like all the other bonuses this is also paid out weekly.

Ranks And Qualifications

No matter how you cut it like all MLM companies you’re going to make money selling the products and recruiting people into the business.

Sure, you can make money just selling. But the path to any significant income is by constantly recruiting people into your downline.

So, Are You Going To Make Money With New U Life?

This is the question that everyone wants answered before they even find out how to build a business in MLM. And thank goodness that New U Life provides you with an income disclosure statement because most MLM’s don’t.

Now this statement shows you the average annual earnings of all of their active distributors in the US. As you can see 89.8% of distributors on average had earned $135.52 for the entire year in 2020.

That’s $11.29 per month. Yep you read that right. They earned on average $11.29 per month in 2020 with this business.

And sure, as you go up in rank the incomes do increase. But notice that the percentage of people earning those higher incomes goes down and down to the point of less than 0.1%.

I want you to REALLY look at these numbers. This statement is telling you that you have less than a 0.1% chance of making a significant money with this business.

But what this statement is not telling you. Is the money these distributors are spending to try and build their business. The reality is all of the over 89% of distributors in this business are losing money every single month.

What Are Customers Saying About New U Life?

As with every company you’ll have people that love a company and others that hate it. And it’s no different with New U Life.

When doing research about companies I always to the Better Business Bureau and TrustPilot. I found nothing at TrustPilot. However, I did find at the time of this review 75 complaints listed against New U Life in the past 3 years with the BBB.

The complaints included things like delivery issues, not able to access bonus money. A lot of complaints about being billed after cancelling memberships. And no surprise reports of the products not working.

As I said you’ll always find both positive and negative reviews regarding a company. The thing to do is to take this information and included it in your decision making.

What I Do Like About New U Life

#1) Legit Business

This is a legitimate homebased business opportunity.

#2) They Show You The Numbers

Unlike many other MLM companies New U Life provides you with an income disclosure statement showing you the average yearly earning of their distributors.

#3) Customer Retail Returns

If you are not satisfied with your product you may return it within 60 days.

What I Don’t Like About New U Life

#1) There Is No HGH In SomaDerm

Somatropin is one of the active ingredients in SomaDerm. Somatropin is a man-made growth hormone. Here’s the problem.

Somatropin can only be purchased with a prescription. So, in order to be able to purchase SomaDerm without a prescription the amount of Somatropin in SomaDerm has been diluted (typically with water) 30X. That would be this many times:

1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 (that’s nonillion times)

This is the lowest does that can be produced and sold without a prescription. And it’s diluted so much that there is no significant amount of Somatropin in this product to do anything. Here’s the FDA report results when they tested SomaDerm.

#2) Overpriced Products

You can’t throw a stick and not find an MLM company selling overpriced products. And every one of these companies claims they have the best product produced with the best ingredients and that’s why they are priced the way they are.

Bullshit. There is nothing special about their products other than being overpriced.

And why the high prices? Where do you think the money to pay out on all these bones in the compensation plan comes from?

This is the ONLY reason these products are priced so high. So they have that extra margin to payout on these bonuses. It has absolutely nothing to do with the so-called “better” products they sell.

#3) Less Than A 1% Chance Of Success

This is MLM and that’s means your chances of succeeding is less than 1%. And if you need a reminder take a look at their income disclosure statement again.

Or maybe you enjoy having the opportunity to make $11.29 per month.

#4) Must Love Sales

In order to make this business work you’re going to have to be or become a rock star salesperson. Not only for the products but as well as selling people on the idea of getting into this business.

If you can’t or you’re not willing to learn the skills for becoming a successful salesperson. Then this is definitely not the business for you.

#5) Challenging Market

Not only are there are hundreds of MLM companies selling similar products. You’re bigger challenge is the online a brick and mortar stores selling these types of products offering the same results and doing so for a lot less money.

People not only want quality and value. They want to get the most for their dollar. And if they can find a similar product that is offering the same results and for less money. That’s where I see most people spending their money.

Here’s What I Think Of This Business Opportunity

I’m not going to beat around the bush here. This business opportunity is a nonstarter for me. From overpriced products that have ZERO science behind them that show they actually work.

To the income disclosure statement proving you have less than a 1% of making money.

There is no REAL business opportunity here.

This is MLM, and the only thing MLM business opportunities offer is the dream of making money.

I’m sure the person trying to get you into this business is spending more time talking about how your life is going to change with all the time, freedom, and money your going to have when doing this business.

That’s the sales pitch every person in MLM makes to anyone they are trying to recruit. Because is the same story they were told.

It was the story I was told when I got sucked into an MLM. I dreamed of the money I was going to make and what I could do. Yeah, but like so many people before me I busted my ass working 25/8 trying to make my business work.

And after a year of being rejected and babysitting people I did manage to get into the business. To pissing off friends and family trying to constantly sell them products, of course that was after I tried to recruit them. I quit.

Best thing I did during that year of being in an MLM. Just wish I did that sooner. But I thought if I stuck with it I could turn things around. All that happened is I got more in debt.

Like I said I wish I quit sooner. But hey, live and learn right? So, you may be asking how am I making money online now?

No selling anything to anyone to make money. No recruiting anyone to build my business. No idiotic monthly quotas – no MLM bullshit to put it bluntly.
