Is Kannaway A MLM? It Sure Is

Welcome to my Kannaway review. So, is Kannaway a MLM? It sure is. And like all MLM companies they have a homebased business opportunity available to all who are interested.

And if you’re here I can only assume you’ve been approached by someone regarding this business opportunity. And you’re looking for more information.

If so, you’re in the right place.

In my review I’m going to take a look at this opportunity and their products. And then you can decide if this business is worth your time and money.

Now, before we jump in please note. I’m simply here to show you the pros and cons of Kannaway and give you my personal opinion. What you decide to do after reading my review is up to you.

Ok, So Who Is Kannaway?

Kannaway is a multilevel marketing company that manufactures and markets CBD Hemp oil products. It was started in 2014 and is run by CEO Blake Schroeder. The company is headquartered in San Diego, California.

Now the CBD oils market is a fast growing market and there are more and more MLM companies such as Changing The Future Outcome and Hempworx jumping on this upward trend. And there is no denying there is money to be made here.

But that doesn’t automatically mean this is going to be a money maker for you. Because as with any business opportunity there are pros and cons which need to be looked at.

So, that’s what we’re going to do. Look at the good and the bad. And then you’ll be in a far better position to decide if this is the right business opportunity for you.

The Products

Now if you’re not sure what CBD is. CBD is a chemical found in marijuana. However, it does not contain any TCH, the chemical in marijuana that gets you high. And it’s legal in both the United States and Canada.

Kannaway has a verity of CBD products on their website listed under the following categories:

CBD Products

Here you’ll find pure CBD liquid, Hemp oil liquid, gel capsules, mints, salve, etc. Depending on the size and the product prices range from $38.99 to $479.98.

CBG & CBN Products

CBG, is known as the “mother cannabinoid” and can help with such health issues as glaucoma, bacterial infections, appetite loss, bladder dysfunctions and inflammatory bowel disease.

And CBN helps you get a quality sleep.

• Pure CBN Liquid – $103.95
• Pure CBN Gel Caps – $117.00

Nutrition

• Hemp Protein Powder – this comes in 2 flavors, chocolate, and vanilla – $84.50.
• Spark – a energy and metabolism booster – $65.00.
• Boost – immune support – $65.00.
• Super Greens – designed to help support digestive health – $93.49.

Personal Care

• Burdock & Hemp Cleanser – designed to leave your skin clean and rejuvenated. $35.00.
• Licorice & Hemp Exfoliator – designed to clean impurities and increase circulation using purifying herbal ingredients. $35.00.
• Green Tea & Hemp Perfecting Mask – designed to hydrate your skin as well as improving its tone and texture. $35.00.

The above prices are the retail prices. All of their products can be purchased at wholesale. They also have Bundled packages for some of their products.

Now something you must keep in mind. When it comes to products like these you need to take all the health claims with a grain of salt. It’s not uncommon for companies to claim their products are better than they are.

Plus, as these are considered dietary supplements companies such as Kannaway do not have to prove the safety or effectiveness of their products.

The reality is, not everyone is going to see benefits and not everyone is going to react well to the products.

Just as long as you know this going into this business, you’ll be fine. It simply comes down to being fully upfront with your customers.

And with that said, if you’re serious about getting into this business. Before jumping in with both feet you may consider signing up just as a customer and try out some of the products yourself.

See what results you get. If you have positive results this is information you can share with your customers. If you have no results, then maybe this is not the right business for you.

Because there is no doubt your customers are going to ask you if you’re using the products. And if you’re not, that’s going raise a lot of uncomfortable questions.

One of which is probably going to be. “Why should I buy for you, if you’re not even using the products?”

What’s The Cost To Get Started With Kannaway?

To become a Kannaway Brand Ambassador is just a matter of going to their website, clicking Join Now and then choosing Brand Ambassador. You’ll also need your Sponsors ID in order to complete your enrollment.

The enrollment fee is $54.98. And this is an annual fee. As a brand ambassador you’ll get a replicated website, access to your back office and the tools and support needed to build your business.

Making Money With Kannaway?

There are several ways of making money through Kannaway’s compensation plan. Which I’m going to cover right now.

Now as a Brand Ambassador in order to be eligible for commission you must be a qualified brand ambassador.

Which means in order to receive commission overrides on your Personal (PV) and Group Volume (GV) sales. You have to meet the sales requirements based on your rank. You can read the entire compensation plan on their website by clicking here.

Customer Sales

There are 2 ways that you can make money through customer sales.

First is to buy the products at wholesale and then sell them at retail to the people you know and to the people you meet. And the other way to earn commissions is through your replicated website where people can buy online.

Now Kannaway offers customers the opportunity to save money by becoming a Preferred Customer.

So, anyone that comes to your site can become a preferred customer (for free). They also need to go on Kannaway’s Smart Ship program where they have products automatically sent to them each month.

And by becoming a preferred customer they can purchase products at wholesale.

Also, as a preferred customer they will get a free replicated website where they can refer people to and have the opportunity to earn free product through Kannaway’s “3 For Free” program.

The 3 for free program is pretty simple. By referring 3 customers – preferred customers can earn free product.

And as for being the brand ambassador you will earn a 30% commission on any of your personally referred preferred customer product orders within the first 30 days.

3 for free is also available for brand ambassador. The requirements for a brand ambassador to qualify for the 3 for free programs is as follows:

Have a monthly SmartShip order with at least 28 BV (business volume) in product orders.

Have at least 3 customers who have a minimum of 28 (business volume) BV in product orders.

Meet those requirements and you’ll earn free product that’s equivalent to the average of your top 3 customers during the month you qualify. And will be applied to your order next month.

FastStart Qualified

When you get fast start qualified you can earn 3 times the direct sales commission. This commission is earned when you sell value packs to any of the people you enroll into your business.

There are 2 ways to qualify.

Option 1: Buy a value pack yourself. After that enroll in any combination a brand ambassador, customer or preferred customer who all buy a value pack within 30 days.

Option 2: Buy or sell any value pack and generating 3000 personally sponsored group volume within 4 levels, in 30 days.

FastStart 3000

You can earn up to an additional $1000 with the faststart 3000 bonus. To qualify for the faststart 3000 you must be faststart qualified yourself within the first 30, 45 or 60 days after you joined Kannaway.

You need to generate at least 3000 in Elite Volume within 4 levels of your organization in your first 60 days. And generate 110 PV in the first and second months of being a brand ambassador.

FastStart 9000

You can earn an additional $1000 with the faststart 9000 bonus. To earn this, you need to become faststart qualified within the first 30, 45 or 60 days after you joined Kannaway.

And just like the faststart 3000 bonus you must generate 110 PV in the 1st and 2nd months. And then generate 9,000 in elite volume within 5 levels of your downline during your first 90 days.

Direct Sales Commissions (DSC)

You can earn commissions for every value pack order from every new person you enroll during the first 30 days of that new enrollment.

50% DSC Check Match

Kannaway will pay a 50% check match on all direct sales commissions to all qualified members.

Residual Team Override Commissions

There are 10 levels of residual team override commissions. And the higher you rank the higher levels of commissions you can earn.

Rank Infinity Commissions

Once you reach the paid rank of Executive Director and above you now qualify to start earning a 1% commission on all qualified sales starting on your 6th level through infinity on the sales organization that you’ve built.

Coded Infinity Commissions

As a paid rank executive director, you have the opportunity to earn additional commissions. With coded infinity commissions you have the ability to earn commission percentages from more than 1 rank.

Lifestyle Commissions

Once you achieve the Rank of Area Director and above you can earn Lifestyle Commissions. You need to maintain your rank for one month. And you’ll be paid on the 3rd month.

Rank Advancement Commissions

As you climb through the ranks within their compensation plan you’re eligible for commissions.

Minimum Income Guarantee

This minimum income guarantee is available for Executive Director ranks and above. You must maintain your rank for two consecutive months in order to qualify.

Now, this is just a quick and simplified overview of their compensation plan so you get a sense of how you can earn money. But if you’re seriously considering joining Kannaway it’s best you read the entire plan for yourself.

And/or have the person that is sponsoring you go over everything with you. Once again here’s the link to their compensation plan.

So, Can You Expect To Make Money With Kannaway?

As with any MLM business you have the opportunity to make money. Will you or not is another question.

Now with no income disclosure statement showing the average yearly earnings of Kannaway distributors you can’t see if anyone is making any significant money. Or any at all.

So, it’s going to be hard to make a rock solid decision when it comes to this opportunity. You don’t want to make a business decision solely on emotion and what a sponsor is telling what’s possible.

Having hard data is always best.

Now with that said, the MLM business model does not have the best track record when it comes to people seeing any real success.

As a matter of fact, 99% of people that get involved with an MLM will lose money. And over 50% of people that were recruited into an MLM will quit within the first year.

According to a study by the AARP the 3 main reasons people quit MLM is:

1. People found it awkward pitching to family and friends.
2. Not liking to sell all the time.
3. Not making money.

The Things I Liked About Kannaway

• Growing market
• Legitimate business opportunity
• Low startup cost
• A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau

The Things I Didn’t Like About Kannaway

• Expensive products
• Low success rate – most people will not make money
• MLM business model
• No income disclosure statement
• To earn the rank bonuses you will need to recruit people

My Final Opinion Of Kannaway

There is no doubt Kannaway is offering people a legit homebased business opportunity. They are selling legit products in a market that is definitely growing each year.

In fact, it’s estimated that the Cannabidiol (CBD) market is going to grow to $5.3 billion by 2025. That’s HUGE!!

I also like that Kannaway has a stronger focus on selling the products then recruiting people. However, if you want the opportunity to rise through the ranks and earn those bonuses you will have to recruit people into your business.

Now I’m not a big fan of MLM, but compared to other MLM’s I’ve reviewed Kannaway is better than most. So yes, the potential for making this opportunity succeed is there.

But despite the opportunity the reality is the majority of people who get involved with Kannaway will struggle to make any significant money. If any at all.

However, if you are a skilled salesperson and don’t mind having to recruit (sell) people into your business to make it grow. And these products appeal to you. Then this just may be the business for you.

But…

If having to become a salesperson and a serial recruiter doesn’t sound that appealing, well you’re not alone.

There are much better ways of building a successful homebased business that doesn’t require having to become a salesperson or having to recruit people.

And I’m talking about Affiliate Marketing.

Like I said as an affiliate marketer you never have to sell anything to anyone, nor do you have to recruit anyone at any time to build your business.

As an affiliate marketer you’re 100% in control and ownership of your business. Whereas with an MLM you’re not.

And as an affiliate marketer you don’t have to meet certain sales minimums and required qualifications in order to earn money.
