Is Spark By Clickbank Worth It? Here’s What I Discovered

Thanks for dropping by. Today I’m going to answer a question that’s being asked about Spark by Clickbank. And that is – Is Spark By Clickbank Worth It?

So, is Spark by Clickbank worth it? If you’re brand new to affiliate marketing then to a beginner Spark by Clickbank has value. But if you’re looking for training that will take you from a beginner to advanced training and techniques then Spark may NOT be the right resource for you.

Being an affiliate marketer and with so many options when it comes to learning how to be a successful affiliate marketer I’m also wondering if joining Spark by Clickbank is all that’s hyped up to be.

So what better way to then to learn about Spark and what it has to offer than by joining?

And that’s what I did.

I’m going to give you an inside look at Spark. And hopefully, by the end of this review, you’ll have the info you need to decide if you want to invest in Spark by Clickbank for your affiliate education.

What Is Spark By CLickbank?

Spark by Clickbank is an educational platform created by Clickbank focused on teaching the concepts of affiliate marketing. And is primarily intended for a beginner audience.

Now, Clickbank’s previous educational platform was called ClickBank University (CBU). And that former educational platform was welcomed with mixed results. Mostly bad.

And at that time ClickBank partnered with an outside team. And while it did have some value. When you got to their page regarding ClickBank University you felt like you were on a high-pressure sales page and in reality, you were.

So ClickBank University was shelved. And ClickBank decided to bring all the training and resources in-house.

And Spark by ClickBank was born. Basically, this is a new version of ClickBank University. But hopefully better.

The Video Sales Page

Now like a lot of affiliate marketers, I have an account with Clickbank. And as such I do get emails from Clickbank from time to time. And one of these emails was regarding Spark.

Of course, I was curious about it and from that curiosity, I ended up doing this review.

So it all started with a link in this email I got to their VSL (video sales letter). Now I have to be honest I was not expecting how the information in this sales letter would end up being just like other overhyped sales letters about making money online, but it was.

I should have timed how long this video was but I would say it’s 20 to 30 minutes long. And if you watch you’ll soon realize this sales video could have easily been only 10 minutes long.

I found it to be a long-winded video that kept saying the same thing over and over again just in different ways.

And that was sharing the 3 simple steps that successful affiliate marketers use. And how these steps can get you to earn your first $2000 in as little as 90 days.

And they reinforce this by showing affiliates that have earned this amount of money and more, some of whom have done so in as little as 30 days.

So yeah I get it. I can see how people would be very interested in learning these 3 steps through Spark.

Now there is information in this sales video that I agree with. Most so-called gurus that promise to show you how to become a successful affiliate really make their money by selling you their course or program.

And if you just so happen to make any money using their information that’s great. But the majority of these so-called gurus could care less if you do or not because they already made their money selling you their course.

What I don’t agree with is how they make it sounds so easy to make money as an affiliate. In the video, you’re told simply share your affiliate link and you’ll make money. Well sorry to burst your bubble it’s not that simple.

Now with that said Spark is designed to show you how to become a Clickbank affiliate.

Now the presenter in the video Taylor Utt the Director of Clickbank says that they have found that earning $2000 as quickly as possible is the tipping point to where affiliates go onto bigger earnings.

Yeah, I really don’t agree with that statement at all. My first commission check from Clickbank was $319.11 and that was enough for me to know I could make it as a full-time affiliate marketer.

Hell, the check could have been $10 and that would have been enough for me to know making money as an affiliate is possible.

Now, this is just me, but I think they use $2000 as the benchmark because earning $2000 in commissions can be life-changing for many people. And they also say this is possible to achieve in 90 days.

So we have some pretty strong emotional triggers being used in the sales video.

• 3 simple steps – this is the easy part – everyone likes easy
• $2000 in earning – life-changing income potential
• Can be done in 90 days – quick – everyone likes quick

Now I will say there are plenty of Clickbank affiliates that are making thousands, hundreds of thousands, and even millions as Clickbank affiliates.

The REAL question is will Spark provide you will all the tools, resources, and advanced training to help you become one of their success stories? I’m not sure, but I know this resource will.

The 3 Steps

So what are these 3 simple steps that Taylor keeps mentioning over and over again in the sales video?

Step One: Find A Great Offer On Clickbank

You want to find a product within the Clickbank marketplace that you’re personally excited about and know would help people would be proud to talk about.

Taylor tells you that you’ll be taught to find products using their 5-point hot offer checklist that will help you pick the very best offers and products for the best chance of success.

As he said earlier in the sales video. You want to find products people already want, like, and trust that are selling like hotcakes and has a track record of real results.

Step Two: Share Your Offer

For getting traffic to see your offer Taylor talks about free traffic such as writing posts, sharing on social media, creating videos, or sharing memes.

As he says pick proven content formulas that are fun and are most suitable to you.

Here’s where in the video Taylor says it does not have to be hard, just 5 minutes per day is more than enough. Now just on with your day. and let your passive income start rolling in

BULLSHIT Taylor!! If it was that easy to become a successful affiliate marketer everyone would be. But here’s a statistic people never talk about 95% of people that try affiliate marketing will quit and not see their business through to success.

And it’s because they have been sold this bullshit line that building an affiliate marketing business is easy and it only takes a few minutes per day. IT’S NOT EASY!!

Step Three: Paid Traffic

He also mentions you can accelerate things by using paid traffic which they will show you how to do using platforms such as Google ads, Facebook ads, and YouTube ads.

This is how Tylor can say you can hit $2000 in commissions in as little as 3 months. It’s because of paid traffic.

Alright, these are their 3 steps to Clickbank affiliate success.

After going through Spark, there are definitely some things I like about Spark.

It Offers A Free Trail

I’m always a fan of programs that provide you with a free trial. This gives you an opportunity to see what’s being offered to you without having to spend any money.

Now granted a 3-day free trial is one of the shorter free trials I’ve come across. On average free trials are typically 7 days. But regardless it still gives you the opportunity to get in there and see what’s available.

Annual Subscription Options

You can save a lot of money if you decide to pay your membership annually.

For example, if you paid yearly for the Side Hustle membership which is $297.00. You’ll save yourself $264.00 compared to paying $564.00 for the year paying monthly.

Great Supplemental Courses

Spark has leaned on industry experts to provide you with even more information about marketing online. Such as:

You’ll Learn The Basic Of Affiliate Marketing

If you’re brand-new to affiliate marketing the Spark Certification Course does a good job of giving you a complete overview of what’s involved in building an affiliate marketing business.

And it’s done with easy-to-digest short videos. I think the longest one I saw was 8 minutes but on average all the videos are between 2 and 4 minutes.

You Can Get A Refund

As they say, if for some crazy reason, you decide Spark is not for you. Your Spark enrollment comes with a 90-day no questions asked refund policy.

Here’s What I Don’t Like About Spark By Clickbank

The Spark Certification Course Is Not Training

I was under the impression that the Spark Certification Course was the training. And I’m sure I’m not the only one that thought this.

But after going through the videos, it’s clear that the Spark Certification Course is just an informational product. There is no step-by-step training.

Personally, I just found that confusing. It should be more clear that the Spark Certification Course is an overview and not actual training.

The Video Sales Page Is Deceptive In A Few Ways

First, off they talk about how you can earn $2,000 in as little as 90 days. What they don’t tell you is you’re going to have to use paid advertising to generate the type of traffic you need in order for you to have the opportunity to earn that $2000 in less than 90 days.

For me, that’s a little deceptive. Maybe I’m being a little too critical but I would like it better if they did mention that you will need to use paid advertising to reach that goal. I don’t think that’s asking too much.

The other thing that I don’t like about the sales video is that they make it sound like affiliate marketing is so easy. When in fact affiliate marketing is very hard. The hard truth is most people will fail at affiliate marketing.

The Page Builder Is Not Included In Membership Price

They mention you have access to Converti which is a landing page builder. But what they fail to mention is that this will cost you $50.00 per month to use. That’s $600.00 per year.

That’s ridiculous, especially when you can purchase access to top-of-the-line page builders such as the one I use Thrive Architect, and it only costs $299.00 per year.

No Support From The Industry Experts

They do have a community which is done through Discord. But you won’t find trainers such as Anik Singal or Rachel Pedersen in this community helping you out when you need it.

Your support is coming from other community members who are mostly beginners themselves. And because of that it could be challenging to get the help you need.

There Is No Flow To The Training

I found the training and the member’s area very disjointed and provides no flow. For me it was confusing. Other memberships I belong to have a very easy flow to the training and members area.

And because things are set up properly you intuitively know what steps you need to take to get the most from the training. I did not find that within Spark.

Spark Will Not Get You To The Next Level In Affiliate Marketing

Spark is definitely for beginners and that’s fine. But Spark at this time of my review will not take you from a beginner to an advanced affiliate marketer.

Personally, it makes much more sense to join a community that can take you from a beginner marketer to an advanced marketer and keeps growing with you. Spark cannot do that. Maybe it might but at this time it can’t.

The Industry Expert Training May Become Outdated

The training from the industry experts may become outdated unless they have an agreement in place with these experts that they will update their training when needed.

And since these experts have no real skin in the game, meaning this is not their platform to manage, they are just contributors, updates may lag or not happen at all.

Other platforms I’m very familiar are not relying on outside sources for much of their training. The owners are the ones that created the training.

So the creators of those platforms have a vested interest to keep their platform (training and resources) up to date.

Just something to keep in mind when deciding if Spark is the resources you want to use.

Can Spark By Clickbank Be Considered A Scam?

Spark by ClickBank is absolutely not a scam.

It is a legitimate resource that provides you with courses and other learning resources to give you the opportunity to build an affiliate marketing business. As well as how to become an affiliate for ClickBank.

Is Spark By Clickbank Worth It?

Yes and No

If you’re brand new to affiliate marketing Spark can give you the basic training and overview when it comes to affiliate marketing. So that’s the yes part.

But if you’re looking for a community (training center) that can take you by the hand from beginner to advanced marketer. At this time Spark can’t do that.

Spark By Clickbank Alternatives

Now in my opinion there are better alternatives to Spark by Clickbank that will provide you with a clearer step-by-step blueprint for building a successful affiliate marketing business.

Regardless if you’re just starting as an affiliate marketer or you’re experienced and you want to take your affiliate marketing business to the next level.

These alternative resources that can take you from a beginner to an advanced affiliate marketer.

Remember I mentioned Spark’s training may lag or not be updated by the experts. The following resources do not rely on outside sources for training. So the training and resources are regularly updated.

Wealthy Affiliate

Wealthy Affiliate is an all-in-one resource for learning how to build a thriving online affiliate marketing business.

Kyle Loudon and Carson Lim are the owners and creators of Wealthy Affiliate and they are very active in their community.

This is by far the best resource for beginners to learn all about affiliate marketing and grow as an affiliate marketer.

Wealthy Affiliate boasts over 2.6 million members and growing. And is always advancing the resources within the community.

• Web builder
• 24/7 live chat support
• Personal one-on-one support and coaching
• Free websites
• Free hosting
• Live weekly live training classes

Authority Hacker 3.0

The Authority Site System (TASS) teaches people how to build an authority website using affiliate marketing as the revenue model.

The guys behind Authority Hacker are Gael Breton and Mark Webster.

And with years of experience and proven methods. This training has allowed thousands of members to build profitable authority websites.

Their step-by-step training takes you from niche selection, and building your website to content creation and promoting relevant affiliate products.

They also have a very active private Facebook group where you can get all the help and support you need while building your business.

However, they do not include in their membership the additional tools and resources needed to build your business. Such as web builder, free hosting, keyword research tool, etc.

The TASS training system is a one time payment of $997.00. However they also offer a payment option of 6 payments for $149.00 per month. As well as special one time payment of $599.00, Both are time senstive options.

Fat Stacks Bundle

Jon Dykstra is the man behind Fat Stacks Bundle and he takes a different approach to building a niche website.

Instead of using affiliate marketing as the revenue model, he monetizes his sites with display ads from ad networks such as sources such as MediaVine.

You’ll learn how to create content that ranks on Google that will drive traffic to your website. And from there you make money from the display ads.

For example, if your RPM (revenue per thousand) is $25.00 and you’re getting 60,000 page views per month you’ll earn $1500.00 per month.

And let’s say you’re getting 600,000 page views per month you would be earning $15,000 per month. That’s the power of display advertising.

Even with ZERO experience Jon’s training will walk you through every step for creating a very profitable niche website using this approach.

Just a heads up Jon does not include in his membership the additional tools and resources needed to build your business. Such as web builder, free hosting, keyword research tool, etc.
