What’s A Teaser Video?
So let’s answer the question – What’s A Teaser Video?
A teaser video is designed to keep people watching with fast transitions – great animations or graphics and then instructs them to do a specific action – no more no less.
So I have created a new teaser video for the wealthy affiliate. (the video is at the bottom of the page)
I wanted to share it with you to show you an example of a short to the point video that you can create and use when promoting any of your affiliate programs.
The Video Structure
Any time you make this type of video you want to make sure you keep the time between 1 minute and 1-1/2 minutes – no longer.
Make sure when you create your video you have upbeat music – great animations or graphics and that you make fast transitions between segments.
And most importantly you must have a call to action at the end of your video. You need to tell people what to do.
So do they subscribe, click a link or download something free? But what ever it is – you must tell people what action to take.
And as with all video you need to make a custom thumbnail. This is the first frame that is displayed for your video.
Yes YouTube will give you a choice of thumbnails from your video that you can use but in most cases there’re nothing you want to use.
You want your thumbnail to get people to watch your video – and the best way for that to happen is create your own.
You can tease them or ask a question, but what ever you do give them a reason to want to watch your video. When you see my thumbnail for this video it gives people a reason to watch.
Don’t Try To Sell
You’re not trying to sell anything nor do you have the time to go into great detail in this style video. So in my video the specific action is to take a free tour of the wealthy affiliate.
It’s in the free tour video where I provide the information anyone would need to make a decision whether or not to create a free starter account with the wealthy affiliate.
This video is on my YouTube channel and because of that I can create clickable links that are right inside of the video.
However in order to use this feature the link in the video can only point to a website you own, know as an associated website. So I created a specific page on my site that has my free tour video on it.
This page does not allow comments or anything – I want people to watch the video and take action – that’s it.
I also hosted this video on another platform (wistia) so there are no distractions like the ones you can get on YouTube.
The video is just below and was created entirely with Camtasia Studio.
I hope you found this helpful – feel free to share this post with your audience, and if you have any questions or comments please leave them below.
I believe in you!!
