The Banners Broker Scam – Don’t Be It’s Next Victim
Name: Banners Broker
Price: Package levels are different
Owner: Chris Smith
Star Rating: 0 Rating Total Scam!!
UPDATE: No need to read my review the Banners Broker pyramid scheme has been shut down after scmming people out of more than 93 million dollars.
Over View Of Banners Broker
The Banners Broker program (sorry the banners broker scam) is suppose to help people grow their business using paid traffic which features specialized banner ads. And these banner ads are of various sizes and types.
There are a lot of problems with this program, not to mention the out right lies being told by the owners. You cannot join the program without spending money first, there is no free trial of any kind.
So you can’t check things out before spending money – one of my biggest red flags. Along with being very misleading the program itself is very confusing.
The Pros And Cons
- Banner ads can be viewed by large number of people.
- The program allows you to buy the amount of traffic you need.
- There are options to help push members to the next level without spending a lot of money.
- The company cannot get a merchant account with reputable companies such as PayPal. This is a BIG red flag it usually indicates a ponzi or pyramid scam.
- There are many legitimate reports that mention they have not paid commissions owned to members as of December 2012.
- The program is so complicated that most people will quit before making any commissions.
- Many payment options for using the program have been discontinued with no warning.
- The company has many complaints filed with the BBB – even though the company says it has zero negative reports.
Is Banner Brokers A Ponzi Scheme? I’ll Let You Decide
Ok first off what is a Ponzi Scheme?
This is from Wikipedia:
A Ponzi scheme is a fraudulent investment operation that pays returns to its investors from their own money or the money paid by subsequent investors, rather than from profit earned by the individual or organization running the operation.
So let’s see if Banner Brokers fits this description – spoiler alert – you’ll find it fits nicely into the ponzi scheme description.
I went to facebook and found a Facebook group called “Banners Broker Ponzi Scam” it has over 11,300 members that have voted through their “like” that Banners Broker is a scam.
And these are just from the people that have stepped up to tell the world they got ripped off by this scam. Think of how many people have not stepped up, probably because they are embarrassed that they did get scammed.
Things like this set off huge red flags for me.
Here’s another HUGE red flag MasterCard wants nothing to do with Banners Broker anymore. You can click the image below to read the full article from the Irish Examiner.
Before you decide to join any program you need to do your homework.
Spend a few days checking things out, trust me taking the time to do this can and will save you all kinds of headaches not to mention keeping your money in your wallet where it belongs.
The Different Aspects Of The Banners Broker Program
There are different aspects to banners brokers, so let me explain each one.
1) The Publisher
So like any other publishing program such as adsence where you sign up for the program, same goes for banners broker.
Ads are then placed on your site and then you get paid based on impressions that are generated through your website traffic.
However unlike the strict quality control of adsence none really exist in banners brokers so you could be displaying banner ads from other scam programs. I should say you probably are displaying ads from other scams.
Just a heads up – doing this will kill your site.
2) The Advertiser
When you register an advertiser account banners brokers will give you 1000 banner impressions for free to get you going. They do this so you can see how great their program is.
Yeah that may sound great but its really not.
You see on the flip side of the program the publishers are getting paid on impressions not click-throughs. So they can simply buy a ton of fake traffic and earn money from your ad expenditure.
If you want to do real banner advertising go through reputable programs such as Google Adwords or Bing Ads that generate REAL traffic and can produce REAL revenue.
3) The Advertiser/Publisher Combo
This is perfect for people who want to get screwed over twice (nice touch). By being a publisher and advertiser you can purchase traffic and offset your costs by the revenue earned.
Does Banners Broker Offer Training?
Well this is easy to answer – NO – none at all. You have no access to the Banners Broker website so that’s a bust and the affiliates are no real help at all.
This is strictly a referral driven model and unless you have experience in ripping people off with the latest ponzi scheme like this one you will find no real training what so ever.
This program is NOT and I say again NOT for you if you have ethics and want to build a real business you can be proud of!!
Does Banners Broker Offer Support?
Again an easy one to answer – NO!!
Now the so-called support is suppose to come from a contact email address – but here’s the kicker, if you try to use it, it gets bounced back to you as “Invalid”
And if you’re not a member of the program contacting affiliates is useless and even if you become a member you’re not going to get a better response.
In fact many people that have questioned the program have been banned from the program and being accused of being to negative.
Yeah well I guess the truth can be called negative.
Get ready to cough up a lot of money for some useless advertising.
You can start out and buy a “Business Package” for $145 – but you have to also buy 3 purple packages and 11 yellow ones.
So this so called basic package will cost you $345. And you can buy other levels but each one comes with different requirements that you must comply to.
Then if you really want to throw your money away you can buy ad/pub combos to the tune of over $11,000.
My Final Thoughts On Banners Brokers
Run far run fast and never look back . This is an out right ponzi scheme and the money you invest will be gone for good and you will see no return.
There are people that have not seen payments of commissions owed to them since last year, some even longer.
Most of the links to support do not work, planned world tours have been canceled – they have been in the media such as the Irish Examiner, The Mirror and many facebook pages have outed banners brokers as a scam.
Heck MasterCard wants nothing to do with them and PayPal won’t go near them. This alone is a huge warning to you.
This ponzi scheme will collapse – they all do it’s just a matter of when – and I think it will be sooner than later.
