My Micro Continuity Update
Well it's been more than a few weeks since I first told you I was going to take you along as I set up my new Micro Continuity program.
If you haven't read my first post all about what I'm up to you can skip back to that post by clicking here.
Ok things are taking longer than planned, but that's because I have clients and projects that are my first priority. And because of these other commitments I have a launch date of May, 2016 - I'll have an exact date later on.
If this was my only project there is no doubt I could set this whole thing up in a few weeks, but like I said it's just not going to happen.
I mentioned in my first post I landed on 2 weeks for sending out my content to my subscribers, but now I'm think once per month is better.
I'm thinking this for a few reasons;
1) It will take me less time to get the first months content ready and then I have 30 days to create the following content after launch and so on and so on, till all my content is created. I plan on creating a years worth of content.
2) I don't want to give my subscribers information overload. I'm giving a TON of content and information and it would be easier to utilize and digest what I'm sharing over a 1 month period, then every 2 weeks.
So, I've decided, once a month for my schedule to start. Now even with that decided this is not in stone, like everything I will test this schedule.
So Where Am I At Right Now?
I have the content written for the first month of my newsletter. It's formatted in two columns, this is the standard format of most newsletters.
I just have to add some other elements like images and other small formating things. I'm in the health niche so I also have recipes and such I have to add, but that's no big deal, I have all of those.
I've sent things to my super duper proofreader Cathy, once I've got things back from her, I fix what I know will be a ton of grammatical errors (thank god she does not proofread my posts here). I'm be done with the first installment of my newsletter. Woo Who!!
Once I get the proofread newsletter back I will then convert it into a PDF. This is how I will be delivering my newsletter to my subscribers.
You May Have Noticed Something
The smarty pants that you are you may have noticed I am creating my newsletter content first which is the final product of my micro continuity program. I'm building things from the end to the beginning.
And the reason why I'm doing that, is because by working backwards, everything is easier to create because I know what the final product has and then everything will flow nicely from start to finish. This is a little trick I learned years ago.
About The Trip Wire And OTO
I've been asked a few times about how to set up the trip wire (your first product) and the OTO (one time offer).
If you look at the image below you can see the the trip wire and then it goes to the OTO and then from there one of two things will happen.
Oh before I get into this, your trip wire product breaks the barrier of them making a purchase with you. So when you show them your OTO offer, which is your paid newsletter (micro continuity)
Your conversion rate will be much higher because they have already made one purchase with you.
And the other reason the conversion is higher, is because your OTO offer is priced lower then your trip wire product.
Ok, so they have bought your trip wire product. If they do that, before they get sent to the thank you and download page - they are re-directed to your OTO offer. If they purchase your OTO (micro countinuity) they get sent to the thank you page that gives them access to the trip wire product and a welcome to your countinuity program,
When they do become members they are automatically put onto your autoresponders paid newsletter list. Now they will receive your content until they decide to cancel.
Now if they decide not to take you up on your OTO offer, they will be redirected to a downsell page that offers them a $1 trail for a month. If they accept they get sent to the thank you page.
If they still decline on the downsell, they get re-directed to the page to download your trip wire product, but they are now put on a different mailing list so you can keep marketing to them to try and get them into your continuity program.
It may sound complicated but really it's not.
I'm Not Using Software For My Funnel
There are all kinds of software/services available to create funnels, such as clickfunnels, which is great. It can make things faster and easier for sure.
But here's why I don't want to use any type of software or service, and why you really don't want to either. If I set my whole micro countinuity business up using someone else's software/service. My buisness is in jeopardy right from the start.
I'm now relying on someone else's business to keep my business going. If the company providing the funnel service goes away or something else happens my business can be wiped out overnight.
There's no way I'm going to put myself in that position. Plus why spend "X" amount of dollars, and in some cases as much as $297 per month to use this type of service.
I'm creating everything using Thrive Themes, Thrive Landing Pages and Thrive Leads. Sure it may take a little extra work, but everything regarding my micro continuity program will be completly in my control, not someone else's.
A little more work, but I'll sleep much better at night.
My Payment Processor
I was also asked who I'm using to collect payments? I'm using Paypal. Paypal is easy to set up, it's a trusted brand and they have kick ass support.
Paypal accepts monthly recurring payments up to 30 months, and they also have a free trial feature as well. I will also show you how to set all that up - but that's later.
Ok That's It For Now
Alright, I'm back to adding the final touches to my first months content. I have already finished my trip wire content (my ebook). Now I may not update for a little while, because of my schedule, but it can't be avoided.
I will be building all the pages to the funnel and the content for said pages. I am doing videos, they convert so much better and they are easier to make. And these videos are not hollywood productions they are simple to the point short videos.
And even if you've never made a video I'll show you how easy it is.
Once I have that stuff done I will make a post and include everything I've done, I'll even have samples for you so you can see how things look.
And don't worry, once everything is complete I will reveal my niche and show you the completed micro continuity program in action.
Ok that's it for now, talk to you later.
I hope you found this post informative. If so, feel free to share it with your audience, and if you have any questions or comments, please leave them below.
