Make Money Online Scams – 4 Tips On How NOT To Be The Next Victim
The web can be a great place for entertainment, news, games and just a plain old distraction from the everyday.
It’s also a great place to build a thriving online business.
But not everyone online offering ways to make money online has good intentions.
I’ve been online for over 14 years – and I’ve seen a lot of things and yep when I first got online I was victim to a few scams. Truth be told I don’t know anyone that has not been scammed at least once.
But now with so much time under my belt online and knowing what to look for I could never be scammed again.
In fact if you’re a regular reader of my blog you’ll know that I post regular reviews of scam products.
So today I want to share with you 4 tips so when you come across one of these make money online products.
Or you’re solicited by email about the latest greatest product for making money online, you’ll be able to spot a scam a mile away and keep your money where it belongs
In Your Pocket!!
I’m also going to share 3 other things you should watch out for, red flags if you will. And what to do from this point on.
Any product that keeps screaming you can make $1000’s in only a few weeks or ten’s of $1000’s in a few short months is a scam.
I don’t care what they say or what they promise – it’s a lie.
The reason they do this is they know so many people want to make money online and they want to make money NOW!
They also know that many people are in financially difficulty so they make sure to push all the right buttons giving you the false hope that your financial troubles will be solved in a very short time.
And in order to get this help all you have to do is trust what they say – but at a cost. They want your money they don’t give a crap about you.
They are playing on your emotions – and they are very good at it.
It takes time to build a thriving sustainable online business. There is no short cut or magic tricks. And it’s not going to happen over night.
If they tell you, you don’t have to do anything to earn money.
This is what I call the push button scam. This is where they claim all you have to do is set things up once and sit back and watch the money roll in.
Well building a business – and I mean a REAL business online just does not work like that. But again these people know that’s what you want to hear.
So they tell you that working online is a walk in the park – no effort involved – no work at all – set it and forget it and just hang out in your pajamas and become rich. Ya right!
The only people getting rich are the people selling this lie to you. Actually I just recently I reviewed a scam product that is a push button scam product.
Just like any business it takes hard work. It’s not going to be handed to you.
If everyone could just sit back push a button or two and then do nothing and make money online don’t you think we would be hearing about it on the national news?
Come on give your head a shake – you’re a lot smarter then that – I know it for a fact!
All those pictures of cars, beaches and income statements.
When I see these on product websites the first thing I think of are all those late night infomercials selling all those garbage make money at home programs.
This is the biggest red flag that these guys can give you. They’re selling you the fantasy, the so-called dream life.
The fantasy of being on vacation all the time and sitting on some tropical beach while making money.
Sure you can go on vacation and sit on some tropical beach – but it’s going to take work for this to happen and you won’t be doing it everyday.
And as for those income statements those can so easily be faked. Do a search about faking income statements. There are step by step instructions every where.
There’s even videos showing how you can do a video showing how to show fake income.
If someone is screaming so loud about how much money they are making. They’re trying to distract you from the product and how truly useless it is – they just want to overwhelm you with the fantasy.
Oh and let’s not forget the fake testimonials. How can you spot them?
Grab a screenshot of the person doing the video and then head over to Fiverr and do a search for Testimonials. Look under Reviews And Actors.
For $5 you can get a authentic but fake testimonial. Remember that screenshot of the testimonial you have? See anyone you know?
Not everyone does this but you have to stay on your toes and be skeptical.
No real product.
I come across this all the time. A product that has no real product.
The program is set up as such that all you’re going to be doing is recruiting people to buy the product so they can in turn recruit people to buy the product.
And within the program they are not teaching you how to build your own online business. All of the training is on how to market the product to others.
This is called an MLM ponzi scheme and there are a ton of them out there. I’ve done several reviews of schemes like this – you can read about my latest review here.
Things That Can Be Red Flags
When looking at any make money online product here are 3 other things you should watch out for.
Now this does not mean the product is a scam but it will sure indicate the value of the product.
All of these things I’m about to mention can be researched prior to buying any product.
1) Lack Of Customer Support
Is the owner of the product going to be there when you need help?
I have found with many make money online products customer support is very lacking and in many cases non existent. Oh sure they’ll tell you they’ll be there for you but when push comes to shove – usually no one can be found.
In most cases they’ll set up a third party customer help system – a ticket system. Meaning you need to send in a ticket (email) requesting help. And that’s when you’re forgotten.
When you purchase a program that is suppose to teach you how to make money online – support is the most crucial element of any program.
You’re going to need support and lot’s of it.
But these program (owners) don’t care if you make money online. They have your money already so why support you.
The bottom line is a great product will have great support. A scam product will have no support.
2) Outdated Tools, Resources And Training
Most programs offer tools, resources and training.
The problem is that in many cases all of these tools, resources and training’s are out of date.
The internet changes quickly and you need to be up to date with what’s working today as apposed to what worked years or even months ago.
In many of the products I’ve reviewed the training material was teaching marketing practices that will absolutely kill your chance of building a successful online business.
They’re teaching you things that will get you crushed by Google. Meaning you’re business won’t even get of the ground.
For example I have come across several products that are still teaching article spinning.
Wow you want to guarantee the failure of your online business try article spinning.
3) No A Free Trial
The absence of a free trial dose not mean a product is a scam. But it does raise a red flag for me.
A quality legitimate product will have no hesitation of giving prospective customers a free trial so they can do just that – try the product and see if it’s right for them.
What You Need To Do From Now On
There are a few other things you need to do other than what I have outline above.
1) Take Your Time
You need to slow down and take your time and do your research on any program or resource that is offering you training on how to make money online.
Spend a day just researching things – become a detective. Get on Google and get as much information as you can about any product or program you’re looking at.
This step alone will save you a fortune and a ton of misery.
What you need to be looking for is a program or resource that’s going to teach you how to build a REAL online business around something that you’re interested in, like a hobby or a passion.
You want to build a business that you could hand down to your children and be proud of. Not some business someone is telling you to build.
And don’t fall for anything that says something like “this offer is expiring soon” or “this site is coming down soon”
It’s all BS – come back to the site in a week a month or longer it’s still going to be there. This marketing tactic is called “the fear of loss”
Many people will buy something just because they don’t want to miss out on a deal or a special offer. And marketers know that – don’t fall for this crap.
2) Trust Your Gut
If something does not feel right – then your gut is trying to tell you something.
Listen to it, don’t ignore it.
So when in doubt – trust your gut.
Ok Now What?
