Is Write App Reviews Legit? What’s Really Going On?

Is Write App Reviews Legit?

So here we go again. Another opportunity that claims you can make EASY money online simply by reviewing apps. Sound good, right? But, Is Write App Reviews Legit? Or is it just another make-money online con?

Well, that’s what we’re going to discuss today. I’m going to dig into this opportunity, see how it works, and of course how you can make money.

I’m sure by the time you’re done here you have a clear picture of what Write App Reviews is all about and if it’s worth your time reviewing apps through their system.

All right pitter patter let’s get at er.

Disclaimer: I am not a member or an affiliate of Write App Reviews. All the information researched for this review is available online within the public domain. This review is my personal opinion and any recommendations/conclusions are my own which you may or may not agree with. What you decide to do after reading my review is up to you. You can see the full disclaimer here for more info.

So, What is Write App Reviews?

I discovered Write App Reviews through an ad. And since there are so many “opportunities” online claiming you can make easy money I joined to see what it was all about.

I have to say I got that tingly feeling that this was not going to be the opportunity that’s claimed on the website. But more about my spidey senses in a moment.

Write App Reviews claims it’s as easy as 1, 2, 3 to make money. Yeah, sounds a little too easy. And for me (and it should be for you too) this is red flag number one.

write apps reviews

After joining, to make money all you do is first choose an app from their database and then test it on your phone or tablet.

Now write a review on your Write App Reviews app website which is provided to you and then you make money!

Sounds easy enough right? Yeah not so much.

Ok, follow me as I go through this opportunity from the beginning. And I’ll show you the red flags along the way. While the concept of writing reviews and making money from reviews is legit.

After going through everything with me I think you’ll agree that Write App Reviews is probably not the best opportunity for you to make money online.

If you just want to skip my review and see the most successful way of making money online then click here.

Who Owns Write App Reviews?

I wish I could tell you who owns Write App Reviews but the owner(s) of this program is anonymous. I even checked social media – nothing. There is no About Page on the site. There’s nothing I could find showing who owns this program.

Now of course that’s their decision. There are lots of people that stay anonymous that are honest, helpful people making a great living online.

So while it’s not a reason to call an “opportunity” a scam because of this. It certainly does give me pause for concern.

And the reason it does concern me is the people I know that are making money online anonymously are not product owners trying to market a product or service.

For me, if you own a product or service people want to, need to know who you are. How can you use a product or service if you have no idea who’s behind that product or service?

The first thing that comes to my mind is “Why are you hiding?”.

If the person that owns the company is not making themselves known to everyone, then personally I will not get involved with that company no matter what the “opportunity” is.

So, here we have another red flag. And yes there are more.

The Write Apps Review Sales Funnel

When you get to the website there is no indication that you’re about to be drawn into a sales funnel. By all appearances, it looks like you simply join and you’re good to go.

Yeah not so much.

As soon as you enter your name and email address you’re redirected to the sales page.

write app reviews congratulations

On this page is the sales pitch for Write App Reviews. We’ve already covered that so-called simple 1,2,3 process for making money so no need to go over that again.

So as a newcomer you’re going to read this sales page and when you get to the end you’ll find it’s going to cost you $27.00 to become a member.

write app reviews join

And if you decide to leave the page you will be presented with a one-time offer to join for $17.00 and this is what I paid to become a member.

And yep I’m Canadian – yeah cunucks!!

write app reviews dsicount

Ok, let’s walk through things now that I’ve paid for my lifetime access to Write App Reviews.

And as no surprise here comes the upsells. You’ll find programs of this nature typically come with a bunch of upsells.

Upsell #1

So here’s the first upsell you will be presented with before you get to the members’ area.

write app reviews VIP

It’s the offer to join the Express Pass VIP Area for $97.00 which gives you lifetime access. You’re told by joining the Express Pass VIP Area you make twice the money in half the time it takes non-VIP members.

And that’s because being a VIP member you don’t have to manually go through the hundreds of App review jobs that come in every day.

As a VIP member, you will have your own personal virtual assistant that will go through each day’s App review jobs and pick out the best ones for you. And prepare the information you need to apply for these App review positions.

This virtual assistant will even write part of the review for you. Thus making you more visible to the App owners who post review jobs.

They even go on to say that VIP members make up to $12,000 more a year than standard members!

Sounds enticing to have things all ready for you doesn’t it? Where’s the proof? Just telling me I can make more is not enough.

Ok, so I passed on this upsell.

Psst, I already see major problems with this “opportunity”. Can you? If not I’ll spill the beans about the elephant in room shortly.

So when I click No Thanks I was hit with what is called a Downsell. Same offer but at a discount. So, instead of paying $97.00 for lifetime access. I could still get VIP access for 12 months for only $67.00.

Of course, I passed on this as well.

write app reviews downsell

Alright once you say No Thanks to this downsell you’re hit with another offer.

Upsell #2

write app reviews upsell 2

This offer is a lifetime membership to both Paying Social Media Jobs and Paid Online Writing Jobs. Each cost $97.00. But with this one-time offer, you can get access to both for only $57.00.

Of course, the pitch is you can make 3x the money because you now have 3x the jobs available to you.

So with either one, you first complete the basic training pick a social media or writing job from their database, and get paid $25 – $35.00 per hour. You just need a smartphone or tablet and no experience.

Ahh if making money online was that easy. (yes that’s sarcasm). And again no proof that you will be making $25 – $35.00 per hour from these jobs.

Do you see a recruiting theme here? You’ll be applying for work – a job!

The deeper I get into this “opportunity” the more red flags start jumping out.

Have you figured out the problems with this “opportunity” yet?

So again, another hard pass for me. I’m passing on all these and the upcoming pitch because I know these are just money grabs by the owner. There is no real value to all these upsells.

And just like the other upsell if you click No Thanks you’re hit with a downsell. And with this downsell one you can pick one of the offers for just $37.00.

write app reviews downsell 2

Ok, here is the last upsell you’ll be presented with before you have access to the member’s area.

Upsell #3

And this upsell is an offer to have 50 reviews written for you. And the cost is regularly $500.00. But for you and this one-time offer, you can get these 50 reviews for only $37.00.

write app reviews upsell 3

Sounds great, right? Yeah not so much.

From my experience reviewing these types of offers, this will all be auto-generated spun content. By far not the best content to use when doing any time of review.

Plus each review is only 350 words. That’s not a review that’s 3 paragraphs. When you do a review you have to take a deep dive into the product and cover everything.

You’re certainly not going to cover much of anything with just 350 words.

Hell, my intro to this review is 105 words, and by the time I’m done this review will be over 5000 words long if not more.

If you were doing a review about Write App Reviews and your review was only 350 words just barely covering anything.

And mine is an in-depth review over 5000 words, who do you think is going to rank better in the search results?

The Members Area Of Write App Reviews

write app reviews members area

Ok, after you have gone through the gauntlet of upsells and downsells you get to the member’s area.

Now, as soon as I got to the members area I noticed there is this Featured Job listing right at the top of the site. This rotated between 2 different offers each time I entered.

On my first visit to the member’s area, there was this offer to join John Crestani’s free training work shop. I know this program, this is the beginning of John’s sales funnel to get you to join The Super Affiliate System which he created.

The Super Affiliate System

This is a $997.00 dollar course. Not sure what the bonus is because John does not pay people to write reviews about his course.

What I do know is if you sign up for this course and you pay for John’s course. Whoever the owner is of Write App Reviews will earn an affiliate commission.

Getting Started

As a member, you have 2 ways to make money.

  • Your Review Website
  • Paid To Review Database

Let’s look at your review website.

This site is already set up all you need to do is log in to your review website, pick the product or service you want to review, and then write your review.

your review website

When you click to access your website you’ll be redirected to a page that offers some free training. Just a heads up and this should come as no surprise this training is pretty useless.

It just talks about how companies will pay for your opinion and how the process works.

Which is:

  • 1) Visit the website or download the app (we’ll give you the link)
  • 2) Register as a member (you can usually join free of charge)
  • 3) Verify your email address (just check your email and click the link)
  • 4) Complete your profile (usually only takes a few minutes)
  • 5) Start making money as review opportunities become available

And then there is a link at the top of this page to the top 30 resources to get paid for doing reviews.

review resources

Every single one of these resources you can find online yourself without spending money on the Write App Reviews “opportunity”.

But if you’re new to “opportunities” like Write App Reviews I can see how a lot of people will end up spending money on this offer.

Honestly, I was not surprised when I saw this best-of list. I kind of had this figured out right from the get-go.

The places they have listed are places such as:

  • Swagbucks
  • Survey Junkie
  • User Testing
  • Ipsos isay
  • In Box Dollars (which is now called Daily Rewards)

Ok, so now that we’ve seen the places where you will need to sign up and start taking surveys and/or testing apps. Let’s look at the website you’re given.

But before we do, just like the review database, along with your website URL, and login details so you can access to your site. there is training available to you regarding your website.

write app reviews the training

You’ll find:

  • Beginner Training
  • Intermediate Training
  • Advanced Training
  • Making Money with Your Website
  • Bonus Training

Beginner Training

I clicked on the Beginner Training and that directed me to the same training page you have access to when you enter the member’s area.

Intermediate Training

So let’s see what the Intermediate Training is all about.

Here they cover:

  • Making money writing app reviews
  • Selecting & evaluating products
  • How to write and publish reviews using the Write App Reviews platform
  • As well as how to make your reviews awesome

The training is very basic, nothing really in-depth, but what do you expect for $17.00.

I did notice in the last training they talk about how to get better rankings in the search engines through keyword research. This training is very basic if you could even call it training. It’s more of an overview.

But at least they have acknowledged the importance of doing keyword research when it comes to generating free organic traffic from the SERP’s.

Like I said this training won’t really get you anywhere but at least they talk about the importance of keywords.

If you want to learn how to do proper keyword research that will help you rank in the search engines I did a full step-by-step walkthrough tutorial all about doing keyword research for content marketing.

Advanced Training

Alright let’s see what the Advanced Training is all about.

Here you’ll find:

  • Taking your income to the next level
  • Social media marketing
  • SEO (search engine optimization)
  • Online promotion opportunities
  • Offline promotional opportunities

I have to admit the advanced training is the best training in all of these training modules.

I’m an SEO guy so I was drawn to the SEO training. This was a good introduction to SEO, but far from in-depth.

They talked about low-hanging fruit keywords, and these are longtail keywords.

They covered the basics of onsite SEO. So things like having your keyword(s) in the title and in the first paragraph of your content.

But they don’t talk about things like Search Intent. If you’ve based your article around a keyword and you have not considered the search intent of the person doing the searching.

You can easily spend hours researching and writing an article no one clicks on because that’s not what they were searching for.

As the example, they have in the training the example of the search term “Squid Game”. Which they say is ok, but they recommend “Squid Game Netflix”. Better because it is a longtail keyword.

But what about the “Search Intent” I mentioned?

If someone is looking for “Squid Game Netflix” they are certainly not searching for “Squid Game”. They are looking for Squid Game on Netflix.

And if you spent hours researching and writing article after article without understanding Search Intent, forget about getting traffic.

Now to my surprise, they talked about the importance of backlinks and why you should devote time to building backlinks. They even provide some white hat methods for building backlinks. Again not deep training.

How,, they did mention you can buy backlinks from places like Fivver. NEVER buy backlinks from places like Fivver unless you want to kill your site and your rankings.

Bonus Training

Here there are 2 links. One is called Get Paid To Write and the other is called Make Money Online

The Get Paid To Write covers ways of making money with freelance writing such as:

  • Articles
  • Writing resumes
  • Writing ads
  • Write letters

The other link for Make Money Online outlines methods such as:

  • Search Engine Evaluator
  • Social Media Marketing
  • Live Chat Agent
  • Become An Influencer
  • Brand Ambassador

Making Money with Your Website

In this training, all they cover is how to join ClickBank and JVzoo as an affiliate.

Just a heads up as I started clicking the links on the top menu I found many of those links brought me to broken pages.

For example, the page that has my login access and link to my review site were all broken.

write app reviews broken links

Here’s a snapshot of my profile. It’s just code.

write app reviews profile

So I had to log out and log back in and then everything was back to the way it was when I first entered the members’ area.

Probably just a glitch, but I thought I would mention it in case it happens to you.

The Review Website

So, now it’s time to take a look at this review website. Now, this is a subdomain, done for you replicated website.

write app reviews website

So the first step is to choose a category. Once you do a list of products will appear that you can review.

write app reviews movies

When you see something you like click the Write A Review button. This will take you to the post page within your website and there you write your review.

wordpress editor

There is a prewritten review in the post area about the invisible man. I previewed the post and here is what a review would look on your review site like using their system.

write app reviews

Now the back office of your replicated website is a WordPress website. So using it is pretty straightforward when it comes to using the editor to write your reviews. Of course, that’s if you’re familiar with WordPress.

Now I did not see any training regarding the use of using WordPress in the members’ area. So this can be a stumbling block for some people.

NOTE: You will see in the side menu of the back office of your website a link called Affiliate ID.

affiliate ID

Click that and you’ll see where to put your Clickbank and JVzoo affiliate ID. Now when I joined my Clickbank affiliate ID was pre-selected as “jetsetaff”. I’m sure the same will happen for you. All you need to do is add your JVzoo affiliate ID.

affiliate ID

And the reason you want to have these IDs is because their system automatically converts all app download links on your website into properly formatted ClickBank/JVzoo links using your ClickBank/JVzoo ID. This allows them to track every click and sale that your reviews generate.

How Do You Get Paid?

You’re going to make money in 2 ways. The first way is through Affiliate Marketing.

When you write a review promoting products or services through an affiliate link. This is a link that is unique to you. These are also referred to as referral links.

So when someone reads your review and then clicks on your affiliate link within your review and if they purchase the product or service you will earn a commission.

Now it’s important to know that you are NOT getting paid by the company for writing a review. They are paying you when someone makes a purchase.

Now there is a real possibility if you’re not creating great reviews that get ranked high in the SERPs and drive that traffic to your website you will make ZERO money.

This is totally different from testing apps, websites, software, etc.

For example, if you’re testing an app you’re being asked to find glitches, bugs, and other problems before the app goes live. This is known as Beta testing.

This type of income is far from stable, its side money. And the reason being is these opportunities are limited. Depending on what testing you’re doing you could be paid between $10 and $40.

However, if you compare that to affiliate marketing. Affiliate marketing is a far better opportunity to make significant money online. Especially if you’re sending a lot of traffic through your affiliate link.

So for example, if you’re generating 5 sales a day at $5.00 commission per sale that’s $25.00 per day. Multiply that by 30 days and you’re making $750.00 per month, that’s $9000 per year.

And this is just for a $5.00 commission. Image making a $25.00, $50.00, or $100.00 commission for each sale? Making significant money becomes a real possibility.

And that’s a lot better than making maybe $30.00 every so often while beta testing. Or even far less when taking a survey.

One thing I will say is that Write App Reviews does show the potential of making significant money with affiliate marketing.

Also, another thing to remember when you do beta testing or take surveys you only get paid once. With affiliate marketing, you can create a recurring monthly passive income.

You write your review and you can be paid over and over again for years and years to come from just that one review. And if you have multiple reviews doing as well that just multiply your income.

There is also another passive income that can be created too. If your review is for a SaaS product or service.

SaaS stands for Software As A Service. So, think of a service such as Aweber which is an autoresponder service. For people to continue to use this service they have to pay a monthly fee.

And being an affiliate for Aweber (like I am) you will make a recurring monthly commission for as long as that customer is using their service.

Can You Make Money With Write App Reviews?

Dame fine question. While the possibility to make money is available, the reality is for most people this is not going to happen.

Let me take that back I can’t see anyone making any real money through this program.

Remember I said there was an elephant in the room regarding this program? Well, there is more than one but this is the BIG one. I’ll tell you in a moment.

While the concept of writing reviews can make you money. The platform you are using is going to prevent you from doing just that.

And that is because you’re using a “Done For You” replicated website. And a website like this will NEVER see the top ranks within the search engines.

And if you paid for the 50 pre-written reviews along with who knows how many hundreds or thousands of other people who bought these same pre-written reviews. You’re going to be in even worse shape with your website.

You see when the search engines crawl multiple copies of the same article or in this case review.

Google will rarely show more than one instance of that content. Some people call this a duplicate content penalty, but there is no real penalty.

It just means that your content will not get the top rankings in the SERPs you were hoping for.

However, if this keeps occurring, and I’m talking about duplicate content things can get worse for you. Your site could be de-indexed altogether. And if that happens your site becomes totally worthless.

If you want to have a decent shot at writing reviews of apps, products, or services then you MUST have your own domain that you have 100% ownership and control of.

And then you can easily find all the products, apps, and services by doing your own research and then create well-written original content. That’s how you’re going to rank in the SERPs and generate free organic traffic.

Not with some duplicated content that sits on a done-for-you replicated website that you don’t own or control.

Does Write App Reviews Have A Refund Policy?

Thankfully they do have a refund policy which I feel is being used a lot.

This product is found in the Clickbank affiliate network. And because of that, every product in their network comes with a 60-day money-back guarantee.

If you decide you want to get a refund simply head to Clickbank and click on Support in the menu at the top of their homepage.

There you can chat live with an agent and request your refund. Be sure to have your order number handy. It will be found on your receipt that was emailed to you.

Clickbank is really swift at providing refunds and in most cases, you’ll have your money back within a few days.

Write App Reviews – Reviews and Complaints

I always make sure when reviewing any product, service, or opportunity I like to see what people have to say.

And the best resource for getting the opinions of people is Trust Pilot. There I found complaints ranging from all the upsells to not getting paid to call Write App Reviews an outright scam.

And I understand all the frustration. If you go back to the sales page Write App Reviews makes it sound like you getting hired (like a traditional job) when you’re not.

They claim you can make between $25 – $35 per hour. And this is completely untrue. You’re not getting hired at those hourly rates.

You’re not getting hired at all!!

You’re being redirected from Write App Reviews to sites such as UserTesting, Pinecone Research, or iSay. Which Write App Reviews has nothing to do with.

And as for making money with affiliate marketing, there is no way anyone can tell you what the hourly wage is from that type of revenue model.

Going back to the sales page. They make it sound like, well in fact they say it’s as easy as 1, 2, 3. All you do is pick an app, review it, and get paid.

This is VERY misleading, to say the least.

Is Write App Reviews Legit Or Just Another Scam?

It’s borderline for sure. But no, I would not call it an outright scam.

Misleading on how easy it is to make money through their system – ABSOLUTELY!! Definitely buyer beware.

What I Like About Write App Reviews

  • Writing reviews and earning commissions through affiliate marketing is a viable way of making a great living online. (But not through Write App Reviews system)
  • 60-day money-back guarantee through Clickbank.
  • Affordable one-time payment (without buying all the upsells).
  • Good overview of the process through the training modules.
  • High earning potential when done correctly.

What I Don’t Like About Write App Reviews

  • Very misleading on how easy it is to make money through Write App Reviews.
  • You don’t own or control 100% of your business because you’ve been provided a replicated done for you website.
  • Very basic training, nothing in-depth. And some training can be harmful. For example, buying backlinks from Fivver.
  • No community such as a Facebook group to help and collaborate with.
  • Replicated done-for-you website – content will never rank with that type of website.
  • Unknown owner(s).
  • Multiple hidden upsells.

My Final Thoughts

I know you’re looking for a way to make some extra money online or even looking for a solid method to create a full-time income. You’re not alone. Millions of people are doing the same.

And when it comes to Write App Reviews. While the training itself is not that bad. It’s still very basic and does not go into great depth. There is a lot missing in the training.

More so your “business” is not yours. And what I mean by that is your business is on a replicated done for you website. So you don’t have 100% ownership or control of your business (website).

Your website could disappear overnight and there is nothing you could do. Wake up and poof your business could be gone!

However, with that said there is some good information to be had.

And if you don’t pay for any of the upsells (waste of money) and you only pay $17.00 as I did, it’s not a total waste of money. And don’t forget you have 60 days to get your money back if you want.

While it’s a decent introduction to making money writing reviews and making money through affiliate marketing. And it’s great they have this information in one spot. I would not recommend you build your business on their platform.

Also doing beta testing or taking surveys to make money is a side hustle at best. You’re not going to make any significant money beta testing apps or doing surveys.

If you want to build a REAL business where the skies the limit on how much you can earn. Then affiliate marketing is the way to go.

You Need To Be In Control Of Your Business From The Start

Affiliate marketing is a fantastic way of making great money online. And I’m speaking from experience. I’ve been making a full-time income as an affiliate marketer since 2005.

And if you’re looking to build an online business using affiliate marketing as the revenue model. You MUST build your business using your own domain.

And there are several reasons for that.

One of the most important reasons for owning your own domain name, as I mentioned earlier.

Owing your domain gives you 100% ownership and control of your business. No one can take it away from you. Unlike building your business on a replicated done for you domain.

And you can build your business as you see fit. Also, there are many affiliate programs such as Amazon that will not accept you as an affiliate if you don’t own your own domain name.

Advertising networks will not approve you if you don’t own your own domain name.

You cannot use the Google search console or analytics unless you own your own domain name.

The bottom line is if you’re truly serious about wanting to build a thriving affiliate marketing business the Write App Reviews opportunity in my opinion is not the way to go.

And when it comes to writing reviews this is just one of several different effective posts you can write that will drive free organic traffic to a website.

Such as:

  • Listicles
  • How to’s
  • Informational
  • Best of

As I said if you’re serious about building a real business you need to be just as serious about getting the most up-to-date training, and access to the proper tools and resources for your business.

And in my opinion, the most important element to help you while building your business is one on one support.

And the best resource I know for giving you everything thing you need to build a thriving affiliate marketing business would be Wealthy Affiliate.

But of course, don’t take my word for it. Go and check them out for yourself. You can even join the community for free and see everything they have to offer. You can even chat live 24/7 with the community.

I hope you found this review of Write App Reviews helpful. If so feel free to share it with your audience.
