Is Making Money Online Easy? It Is If You Stay In Your Lane
Friday night is typically movie night. So this Friday we kicked back and watched a little Netflix.
This night we watched Kevin Hart's "Laugh At My Pain" stand up special he recorded in 2011 at the Nokia Theater in LA.
Dame is that guy funny, he's one of my favorite comedians. I prefer watching stand up more than anything, including going to comedy shows.
And in his show Kevin talked about "staying in your lane". He was talking about staying in your financial lane.
He joked about how he could not hang out with athletes anymore because he couldn't afford to spend the money they could because he didn't make the money they made.
And this got me to thinking about how you need to stay in your lane when building your online business.
What do I mean?
How many different methods of generating traffic to your website have you come across or have been told about or have had pitched to you?
One, three, five - maybe more?
Hell you've got....
Facebook, Bing, Content Marketing, PPC, Media Buys, Instagram, Pintrest, Twitter, YouTube, Adwords, Blogging,Podcasting, Guest Posting, Interviews, Solo Ads, Email Marketing .... and on and on.
Yes, there are plenty of ways to drive traffic to your website.
But here's the thing. The BIGGEST mistake most new online marketers make, is they try and be everywhere.
They think they need to do everything in order to build traffic. Nothing could be futher from the truth. You don't need to be everywhere.
All you need to do is find one traffic source that clicks with you. I mean the one you gets you the most excited about. One you can see yourself doing all the time.
Chances are if you're trying to do a bunch of different methods for generating traffic. I bet there's one method you like doing more than the others. Right?
If so, that's the one you focus on. Master that one traffic method and you'll have all the traffic you'll ever need.
The other ways don't matter.
By focusing and mastering one traffic method. That's staying in your lane. And staying in your lane makes building your business so much easier!
Steve stayed in his lane by following the training provided by the wealthy affiliate and has all the traffic he needs.
I believe in you!
