Is ARIIX A Scam? Let’s See

Welcome to my ARIIX review.

From time to time, I get an email asking me to take a look at a business opportunity. And this time I was asked to take a look at an MLM company called ARIIX. And I was specifically asked – Is ARIIX a scam?

So that’s what I’m doing in this review. Taking a good look at ARIIX to see if this is a good opportunity or one that you should avoid.

Either way once you’re done here you be in a better position to decide if ARIIX is the right opportunity for you.

Now, as always, I’m simply here to show you the pros and cons of ARIIX and give you my personal opinion. What you decide to do after reading my review is up to you.

And with that said, let me first say, good on you for taking the time to do your own research before getting involved with any business opportunity. That alone tells me your serious about finding a legitimate way to make money online.

Alright, let’s see what ARIIX is all about.

Ok, So Who Is ARIIX?

ARIIX is a huge multilevel marketing company that was founded in 2011 by Deanna Latson, Mark Wilson, Dr. Fred W. Cooper, Jeff Yates, and Riley Timmer in Salt Lake City, Utah.

With global offices in Hong Kong, Mexico, Japan, Taiwan, Russia, Europe, South Korea, Tianjin, Canada and Australia.

ARIIX operates in the very competitive health and wellness market offering a wide verity of products ranging from nutritional support products to water and air filters.

Now something that is different from other MLM companies is that ARIIX not only sells their own line of branded products they also sell other rebranded products from other companies.

ARIIX Products

ARIIX operates in many different areas within the health and wellness market. And because they do, they have a different brand for each of these markets. With each brand having several different products.

You have…

Nutrifii

• Here you will find a variety of nutritional support supplements.

Slenderiiz

• This is their brand line focused on natural weight loss and weight management.

Puritii

• This product line is focused on air and water filtration.

Lucim

• Here you’ll find a full line of skin care products.

Reviive

• Here you’ll find their personal care products that include shampoo, conditioner, body wash and toothpaste.

Priime

• Here you’ll find a line of 5 essential oils. All designed to help with your physical and mental wellbeing.

LIMU

• Here you’ll find a variety of liquid nutritional drinks to help support your body systems, and products to help fill in those nutritional gaps.

Now when it comes to their nutritional products keep in mind none of their products have been evaluated by the FDA. So, what that means is that they do not have to prove any of their nutritional products work or are even safe to take before taking them to market.

So, if you’re thinking of joining ARIIX. Before you do it would be wise to give some of their products a try and see what results you get. Of course, you don’t have to try them all. Simply choose the ones that you’re interested in the most and give those one a try.

Call this part of your business research. If you see results with the products you’ve tried then you can join ARIIX knowing that you are representing products that you’ve had success with. Because you certainly don’t want to be promoting products where you’ve not seen any success.

Now another thing to keep in mind when it comes to nutritional products. Not everyone is going to see success with these products. And because of that some of your customers will not reorder. And others may ask for a refund. But that’s all part of the business.

So, How Much Is It To Get Started With ARIIX?

To get started you have to buy a Business Orientation System (BOS) at time of sign-up. And this costs $29.95.

However, to activate your income position as a representative you need to either sell, buy, or use 200PV (personal volume) worth of product and this will cost you $296.00. This is a onetime purchase.

Now in order to stay commissionable eligible you must either sell, buy, or use 100PV every 4 weeks. So be prepared to spend at least $217.14 (US) each month on product, if you have not sold or bought any product to stay commission eligible.

And the reason why I know it will cost you $217.14 (US) per month is if you click the Shop button in the top menu on their website it will take you to a product listing page and there you can see the minimum cost to attain 100PV each month.

How Do You Make Money With ARIIX?

Being an MLM company you can make money in two ways.

First is simply retailing the products to people you know and people you meet. As a representative you’re buying the products at a discount and then selling them at retail.

And the difference between the two is your profit. As a representative you get a 15% discount on all products.

The next way is by recruiting people into your business (downline) and working your way through (up) their compensation plan.

Ok, the compensation plan. This is a unique compensation plan to say the least.

And if you’re not familiar with the MLM jargon being used as well as their own terms related to this compensation plan it is a bit confusing to understand how it all works.

ARIIX has what they call a multiline compensation plan named ARIIX ACTIV8. This compensation plan allows you to build a business with unlimited depth and width. And this compensation plan pays out $.50 on every dollar.

Other highlights of this compensation plan are:

Auto Balancing

With their patent pending auto balance algorithm you never have to worry about how or where your personal points or your customer points are placed within your organization.

Cost Of Living Increase

As time goes by and depending on where you live your commissions will increase accordingly.

Power Re-Entry

You can enroll under one person in an organization. And you can also enroll again under a completely different person and organization. This give you the ability to work and promote cross-line support.

Income Position Bonus

2% of global sales volume is placed in a pool. And you can earn shares in this pool when you optimize your pay line(s).

Pay Line Bonus

1% of global sales volume is placed in a pool. And you can earn shares in this pool when you optimize your second pay line.

Savings Bonus

When you earn more than $250 in any given week. ARIIX will bank an addition 15% of your base commission up to $2000 per month until you reach $10,000. Once you do ARIIX will cut you a check for $10,000.

Matching Bonus

Earn a % of base commission from the people you sponsor as well as the people they sponsor.

That’s a quick overview of how you can earn within their compensation plan. I also found a video on YouTube that explains their plan. I also found a PDF that explains all the terms used within their compensation plan.

Of course, the best person to explain things and answer all your questions would be the person you’re in contact with regarding this opportunity. Before you jump into anything be sure you are crystal clear on what you have to do in order to become eligible for these bonuses.

While they sound great. Many bonuses that you find in MLM compensation plans are very hard to achieve. And that’s why you need really understand what you have to do in order to achieve success within this business opportunity.

So, Can You Expect To Make Money With ARIIX?

With any legit business opportunity, you can make money. But what comes into question is what are the odds that you will make money? Well, with MLM as much as I would love to tell you that your odds are great. They’re not.

Unfortunately, 99% of people that decide to get involved with an MLM business lose money.

Now, ARIIX does provide an average earning report on their website. But at the time of my review this report is from 2016 so it outdated. But despite being outdated it does support the fact that making decent and what most people are looking for a life changing income is not in the cards.

You will see they show data from Part Time and Full Time representitives.

Understand that the majority of people that are involved with ARIIX are doing this part time with the hopes of this becoming a full time income.

It also should be noted that a full time representatives is defined as ANYONE who attained the title of Officer or higher at ANY TIME even if it was just for even one week during this reporting period.

And according to their own earning report on average all of their representatives earned $2025.62 for the year. That works out to $166 per month. You can make more than that getting a job at minimum wage.

But the reality is going by their average yearly earnings, representatives are actually losing money each month.

Remember as a representative you have to maintain a minimum of 100PV each month to stay commission qualified.

So, if you’re like many people that get into an MLM they are struggling to build their business and more often than not they are not selling or recruiting enough every month to meet that minimum.

So that means they have to spend out of pocket each month to stay commission qualified. And if you remember that minimum cost each month is going to be $217.14(US).

So, going by their numbers the average representative is earning $166 per month less the $217.14 most will spend to stay commission qualified. That means the average representative is losing $51.14 per month. Not including the other expenses incurred running their business.

Now even with that said, I’m not saying you can’t make money. But when it comes to an MLM business you’re going to have exceptional sales and network marketing skills in order for this to become a success.

So, you really need to be honest with yourself and know what’s ahead of you when it comes to building this type of business.

And if becoming a salesperson for both the products and for the business opportunity is something you’re not willing to do.

Then a MLM business is definitely not something you should jump into.

What Training And Tools Can You Expect?

The $29.95 you pay gives you access to your Business Orientation System (BOS). And this is where you can access video training modules designed to help you succeed in your business.

What I Like About ARIIX

#1) Real Opportunity

ARIIX is offering people a real homebased business opportunity.

#2) Verity

They do have a diverse product line. And as a representative this gives you the opportunity to develop a larger customer base.

#3) Quality Training

Unlike many other MLM companies, ARIIX provides its representatives training through their B.O.S System (Business Orientation System).

What I Didn’t Like About ARIIX

#1) Outdated Earnings Report

It’s great that they provide an earnings report. Too bad it’s so out of date. But with that said I doubt the percentage of people actually making any money would be much different with an updated report.

#2) Focus On Recruitment

Despite the new fancy patent pending compensation plan. In order to earn any of the bonuses. Just like the majority of MLM compensation plans this means you’re going to have constantly be recruiting people in order to meet the qualifications for those bonuses in their plan.

#3) Saturated Market

You can’t throw a stick and not hit an MLM company in the health and wellness market. There are literally 100’s of MLM companies in this market. And some of these companies have been around a lot longer than ARIIX.

Such as Melaleuca who’s been around since 1985. And Nature’s Sunshine has been around since 1972. These and many other MLM’s are going to be your competition not only for the same products but for the same business opportunity.

#4) MLM Is Not That Well Received

Most people when you ask them about MLM the typical response is “scam”. And while ARIIX is not a scam. You’re going to find most people are not interested in joining an MLM.

#5) Low Success Rate

The success rate with MLM is frighting low. As I mentioned earlier 99% of people that get involved with an MLM will lose money. And if you recall the average earnings with ARIIX being $166 per month and the $217.14 monthly commitment so you’re commission eligible. You can see why people lose money.

And because of that you’ll find that over 50% of the people you do manage to recruit will quit within their first year. And you may be in the 50% yourself.

My Final Opinion Of ARIIX

I’ve definitely have seen a lot worse MLM business opportunities then what ARIIX is offering. But despite that no matter how you look at it this is still a MLM business model.

And this business model while it’s great for the company itself. It does not have the best track record for success when it comes to representatives.

So, unless you have superior sales and recruiting skills, you’re going to find like most people this business is not going to be your path to financial independence.

Because after all isn’t that why everyone gets involved with an MLM. That opportunity to be in total control of their financial future?

And because of that and for a lack on a better word people get “sucked” into the MLM dream.

But Here’s The Thing…

There are far better ways of building a thriving homebased business that does not require you to become a salesperson nor does it require you to recruit people to build your business.

And you’re not forced into buying products each month in order to be able to earn commissions.

And the business model I’m taking about is Affiliate Marketing.

Like many people I tried MLM. And after busting my ass for over a year and not making any significant money. I quit. And it’s the best thing I ever did. Because not long after that I discovered affiliate marketing.

And as of 2005 I’ve been making a full time online income as an affiliate marketer.

With affiliate marketing you can build your business around any interest, hobby, or passion, even if it has to do with health and wellness.

So, before you make your final decision about joining ARIIX or any other MLM I recommend seeing how you can build a very successful affiliate marketing business as an affiliate marketer.

And at least this way you can compare the two business models and make an informed decision as which one is going to work the best for you.
