How To Create A Raving Fan Base

How to create raving fans is a 5 step process from Marie Forleo.

In order to create a raving fan base Marie says you need to do the following:

Step 1) You Need Clarity Of Vision

Here’s how to get clarity of vision – really think about what vision of the world are you really committed to. So simply put beyond profits why are you in business, what is it that you really want to do?

So why are you doing what you’re doing why are you in business? it can’t always be about the money maybe the business maybe you want to be an Internet marketing because it allows you the freedom to travel the world and maybe your passion is to help people that are less fortunate than you and that’s why you’re in business.

And once you have your vision you have to make sure that you communicate and demonstrate that vision on a daily basis within your business. and you need to do that so you don’t lose focus and so also people get what you’re all about so that they jump on board that’s how you get fans.

People unite over causes people unite over visions they don’t unite unite with your five-step processes or systems.

Step 2) Positioning

Don’t be the same as everybody else. So the way you can differentiate yourself from everybody else is make a list of 10 things that are done within your industry or your market that you think should be done differently.

Now this may sound very simplistic but now look at those 10 steps and do them differently. Now maybe you won’t be able to do every step differently but take a look at those 10 steps and see what you can do differently.

If you just do 1 or 2 or even 3 things that are totally different from within your market or industry you will stand out from everybody else and you will create your position.

Step 3) Generosity

Give with the purpose of really helping of really giving, you’re not giving to get – you’re giving to freely give.

So ask yourself are you currently giving to your prospects to your customers, your joint venture partners people on your team. So are you currently giving people a happy meal or are you giving people a five-star dinner.

So if you’re giving those quickie happy meals see if you can change that start giving people a five-star dinner really making a contribution really helping people.

Think about what you’re giving and how you’re giving it within your business to your customers and even your team members and see how you can kick it up a notch. and this doesn’t mean you have to spend more time what can you do this can make a difference to them not to just fulfill your obligation.

So brainstorm five ideas so you can give more to your market and then plan at least three unadvertised surprises to each of your paid offers.

so what products you have out there right now no matter if it’s one or 10 for each one of those products plan at least three unadvertised offers, and then add those to your paid offers and you want these surprises to genuinely surprised people.

Step 4) Connection

Yes you’re building a business online but remember you’re dealing with real people not leads. And just like you we all have hopes, dreams, fears, frustrations, problems and like everybody we want to be heard and acknowledged more than anything else.

In Marie’s business herself and her team use what’s called the New York Times rule.

And what that is with every correspondence with every customer or client they have it has to pass this rule.

Which is would you be willing to put what you’re saying to this customer or this client in your correspondence on the front page of the New York Times for everybody to read and be proud of it.

The bottom line is you want to treat people the way you want to be treated.

Also what can you do right now to develop more meaningful connections with your clients or potential clients or your current customers remember these are moms these are dads – these are real people so what can you do to make a deeper connection – what can you do to get to know them better.

Step 5) Commitment To Your Team And To Your Customers

This one is pretty simple and straightforward but so many people dropped the ball on this.

So how do you do that? Simple, be honest and make sure you always have your team and your customers best interest at heart.

And sometimes that means saying no. there a lot of marketers out there that say yes when they’re not qualified to say yes because all they see is the money.

You will create a raving fan if you say to the customer you know what I can’t do that for you but I can point you in the right direction or I know someone who is more qualified to help you.

Bottom line is people come before profits day in and day out – because without these people you’re going to have any profits.
