Finding Your Niche
I get so many emails from people saying “I cannot find a niche”?
First – let’s answer the question –
What Is A Niche?
A niche is marketing to a specific set of customers within an industry.
So if you’re a fitness expert and you’re in the weight loss industry – your niche market may be losing belly fat or losing fat with just your body weight.
Ok so how do you find YOUR niche? It’s very simple and is not going to take long to explain.
Ok smart guy how do I find MY niche?
Drum roll please…
Stick With What You Know!!
What is your passion? What do you do for a hobby? What gets you excited? These are the places you start looking for your niche.
If you’re slightly out of shape and are happy the way you are and have no desire to get in better shape – why would you get into the fitness niche? It’s obvious you have no interest in it.
Stop listening to everyone telling you what you should be marketing – that’s biggest mistake you can make
But unfortunately many people do just that – they get into a niche just because they were told they could make a lot of money in that niche.
Sure you can – but 95% of them won’t. Now people get frustrated – do it over again and before they know it they have wasted months if not years in the wrong niches.
It Does Not Have To Be That Way!!
What if you’ve been playing guitar for 30 years – it’s a passion and you know a lot about guitars and playing.
That’s the niche you want to get into!! It sounds simple – and it is – finding your niche is easy.
Remember the business you build online is going to take time and the niche you choose is going to be your best friend for a long time – it make sense then to get involved with something you love – because you’re going to be talking about it a LOT!!
Once you find your niche you need to get as specific as you can – the more specific you are within your niche the less competition you have.
Less competition means easier profits – it means faster first page ranking within google – and that means more traffic – which brings you back to more profits.
So remember to find your niche go with what you know – and don’t worry. If you like something there are thousands if not millions of other people that like it too.
