A Look At The Commission Machine – What’s Missing?
Product Name: The Commission Machine
Price: $37 Upfront With Multiple Upsells
Owner: Michael Cheney
Ranking: 5 Out Of 10
Michael Chaney’s new product, The Commission Machine, promises to offer some really impressive results very quickly.
Does it live up to its hype, or is it simply another get rich quick scheme that seems to populate the Internet on a daily basis?
So without further delay, let’s dive on into The Commission Machine review and see whether or not it delivers on all of its promises and also see if it’s missing anything.
So, What Is The Commission Machine?
The Commission Machine is a product created by Michael Cheney that promises to teach you how to use email marketing to promote affiliate products to your email list faster and easier.
On the sales page, it literally promises results ranging from a few hundred dollars daily all the way up to thousands of dollars earned in just a few days.
With impressive results such as these, you can’t help but be a little bit leery as to whether or not the program works.
Who Is The Commission Machine For?
Most of the training inside of The Commission Machine is designed for marketers who already have an email list which they can promote to.
There is one method available within the training for marketers without an email list, but the results that could be obtained by following that method are limited at best when compared to the primary methods taught in the course.
How Does The Commission Machine Work?
Honestly, there’s nothing revolutionary inside of the commission machine training. It shows you how to create an email list and then promote affiliate products to that list.
And for those people who haven’t done any email marketing, there is some good information to be had. The biggest problem is there is a bunch of crucial information missing in the program, and other problems.
One of the first problems with The Commission Machine is that it focuses on earning affiliate commissions through the JVZoo platform which can often be difficult for new marketers to gain a foothold in.
The reason for this is that many new marketers do not have sales on the JVZoo platform and many product owners will simply not approve newbie marketers to promote their products with no track record of sales.
Some of the critical information missing within this program is Michael fails to show you how to build your mailing list and how to drive traffic to your website to get subscribers.
And if you don’t know how to do those two critical things, you’re going to have a tough time with this program.
Building a targeted responsive email list is hard and it takes time.
First you need to get people on your list. Then you need to build a relationship with your list. And then and only when your list, knows, likes and trusts you will they buy from you.
A subscriber will rarely buy from you being hammered offer after offer. In most cases they simply unsubscribe.
What’s The Price of The Commission Machine?
The initial entry level price for The Commission Machine is $37, but there are a couple of upsells available as well.
So What Are Those Upsells?
There are actually two different upsells and one downsell available during the sales funnel for The Commission Machine.
The first upsell is known as “The Golden Ticket” which allows you to come behind the scenes and actually watch live videos that Michael has put together during one of his commission machine campaigns.
This is the one that I really had an issue with as these sample templates are almost necessary in order to have success, if you are relatively new to email marketing. Another problem that I have with this upsell is that it is a monthly membership rather than a one-time fee.
This is somewhat understandable as people who purchased the first upsell will see new campaigns in the form of live webinars every month, but after the first webinar viewed, the benefits gained depreciate over time as you learn more about the method.
The other problem that I have with this upsell is that by simply refusing it, you will arrive at a downsell page delivering the same webinars in recorded form rather than live format. The prices for this upsell are $27 a month or $17 a month for the downsell version.
There’s one additional upsell as well, which is a done for you service which gives buyers the ability to purchase seven complete commission machines that are ready to be deployed. The charge for the second upsell is $97.
What Training And Tools Can You Expect From The Commission Machine?
You’re going to be trained what is called the “R.A.P.I.D.” formula.
And this stands for:
1. Research – (Finding profitable affiliate products that convert well)
2. Angle – (Writing an effective email message)
3. Provide – (Use incentive type strategies in order to get your visitors to take action)
4. Incentive – (Craft short effective messages to increase your click thru rate)
5. Deploy – (Your affiliate promotions)
Nothing really new here. You’re going to be learning email marketing and earning commission as an affiliate marketer.
If you don’t already have an email list, this is going to be a tough way to make affiliate commissions with the products that are recommended to promote.
Personally I would rather make money as an affiliate marketer, marketing something that I have an interest in. Not something that someone else tells me I should be marketing.
Honestly, if you have no interest in the product or service you’re marking. How long do you think you’ll last trying to make money with that product or service?
Short answer – Not Long At All – it’s a waste of your time.
How’s The Support?
The support over The Commission Machine is actually pretty good.
For example, I requested a refund and had it less than an hour later. As far as continuing support is concerned, aside from the initial refund process.
What I Liked About The Commission Machine
There were actually a few things that I liked about The Commission Machine including:
- Legitimate Training – The training provided is actually pretty good even though there are key pieces missing.
- Fast Refund Processing – The Commission Machine held up to its promise of offering a no hassle 30 day refund. Not only that, they also delivered the refund very quickly.
What I Didn’t Like About The Commission Machine
Unfortunately, there were several things I did not like about The Commission Machine including:
- Deceptive Marketing – You’re hit with the typical money making guru marketing sales tactics.
- Upsells – I feel that upsells should only complement a product and not be necessary for the majority of people to succeed with the training..
- No Clear Steps – there is no clear steps provide to implement the programs training. Lot’s of telling no showing.
- All Video Based – All the training is done on video, would be nice if there were text guides as well.
My Final Opinion on The Commission Machine
The Commission Machine is overall a pretty good product for the price. You can learn how to do some effective email marketing.
One big hiccup is that if you don’t already have a responsive email list, and you don’t know how to craft the messages to get your subscribers to take action this program is really not for you.
Plus Michael does not show you how to build your list, nor how to drive traffic to your website. He doesn’t even show you how to set up your autoresponder or how create a squeeze page for capturing your subscribers.
Well now your job just got 10 times harder. There’s’ just too much left out in my opinion to make this a fully rounded out program.
Sure if you spent the money on this program it would not be the worst investment you could make. But certainly not the best investment either.
There are far better programs available that can show you a far easier way to make money as an affiliate marketer. The people that are successful at affiliate marketing are the ones that work smart not hard.
Even though this is an alright program, it’s a very hard way to make money as an affiliate marketer.
Look my best advice to you is still do some more research, and while you do that take the time to check out my #1 recommended program for creating a fulltime online income as an affiliate marketer.
I hope you found this review helpful and I hope I answered any questions you may have had about it.
